Update I did like you asked. I emailed you my contact info, and there is still no response. Then I see 2 more recent reviews that show you are serving cold food to them also. You need to get it together!
I hate writing bad reviews, but after trying to reach out to the restaurant several times with no success, this is what I’m left to do. On 6/28, I came into the restaurant and decided to dine in for a change I normally do takeout. The place was clean and quiet. A young lady at the front took my order for a full rack meal. I went to get my drink, and before I even finished pouring it, the food was already at my table. I thought, “Wow, that was fast,” and the food looked good, so I was pleasantly surprised. I started with the sides, and they tasted great. Then I cut into the ribs, and the meat was ice cold. I called the same young lady who took my order and told her. She said, “Okay, we can get you another order.” I said that would be great. Then, another associate came over and asked what was wrong. I explained that the meat was cold, and she said she could get it fixed. I told her I didn’t want the same ribs reheated. I wanted a fresh order. She just looked at me and walked off without acknowledging what I said. Shortly after, she came back with a new plate very quickly. (For context, when you order a full slab, it's served in two halves.) Again, the food looked good. I cut into the smaller half, and it was hot, so I thought the issue was resolved. While I was eating, the same young lady who took my order came over and asked if everything was okay. At that point, it was, so I told her yes. But when I got to the second half of the ribs once again, the meat was cold. I called the young lady over again and told her. She just stared at me blankly and walked away. I was baffled by the lack of response, so I asked her for a to-go container. I packed up the rest and walked up to the counter to express how disappointed I was. There were two employees at the counter Shakina and Bailey. I asked if there was a manager I could speak with, and they told me no. I asked, “So there's no manager? Who’s closing the store?” Shakina said there was a shift lead. I asked to speak to them, and surprise, it was Bailey, who had earlier ignored me when I asked for a fresh plate. (During my whole time there, the two of them were hudled up at the register chit chatting.) Bailey told me she doesn’t control the cooks and “there’s nothing I can do.” She let the cook know. I asked for the store manager’s name, and they told me it was Josh, but I later found out it’s JA. They told me he would be in on Sunday at 10 a.m. During that conversation, Shakina asked me, “Why did you say everything was fine when I checked on you?” I explained that only the first half of the slab was hot when she came by, and I hadn’t gotten to the second half yet. I also said I didn’t think her question was even relevant. The meat was cold again. I called on Sunday and asked for Josh (JA), and I was told he wasn’t there. I asked if there was another manager available and was told the assistant manager was there, but not at the moment, and to call back in 30–60 minutes. I did. I believe I spoke to someone named Matt. I explained everything, and he told me I really needed to speak to JA, who would be in Monday. I couldn’t call on Monday, so I called today and again, JA wasn’t in. Matt did apologize, but it is more of the lack of service that I received from the two young ladies that day. Then I was told by Matt that there was a back of house manager, why didn't he come out? At this point, I’m not going to keep trying. I’ve made every reasonable effort to resolve this privately. I was served cold food twice, ignored when I asked for a fresh order, and dismissed when I brought it up at the counter. No one followed up, and there was zero accountability.

Read moreI ordered a half chicken without any sauce on it to see how it tasted by itself. This place has really good, deep, smokey flavored chicken. They put grill marks on it right before serving it, and it gives the perfect texture pop you're looking for with crunchy skin. The seasoning was precisely balanced and allowed for the true taste of the chicken to come through. The meat simply fell off the bones, and I didn't have to worry about any hassle getting to any of the meat.
I also ordered the fried okra, Cole slaw, and a side salad. The okra was fantastic!! Unfortunately, the Cole slaw was too bland for me and had too much sauce. It needed to be thinned out with some sweet white vinegar or a little sugar and white vinegar. It was just bland and too rich from the mayo. The salad itself was better once I removed the large amount of cheese from it. The lettuce leaves were crisp and there were only a small bit of wilted leaves in the mix. They rotate the salad enough so you know you're getting fresh product.
The floors were spotless, but there was a bit of stickiness to them when you walked on them. You could hear your foot peel off the floor. They could use a good deep clean, but that's just oil buildup after years of fried foods. The tables were neat and cleaned as well. They were only ever so lightly dusted with oil.
The young lady at the register was kind and smiled, which is nice to have when you're ordering. The manager was involved and made sure everything was good.
Overall, it was a pleasurable experience, and if you're looking for some smoked chicken for a reasonable price, this is a surprisingly great place. I spent under $20 and had three sides with the half chicken. Drinks are too expensive anywhere anymore. Water...

I went today to have lunch, filled the cup with sprite, I didn’t put ice neither the cup lid, when I began drinking It, I quickly notice it was very dirty, I guess that’s why the machine makes a lot of noise and foam. I guess they have not been clean for I while... so I went to the lady that is taking the orders at the register and let her know what happen and then I went back to the table to wait. There where people in line making orders, so I wait and when the line was going short, I decided to go again to the lady, just in case more people come in, that way if some one comes in will notice that I’m waiting for help. To my surprise this lady was very rude, I’m going to quote her: what are you doing here? I said I’m waiting for you to help me, and she answer back saying: I told you I will help you and I’m finishing, go back to your table and seat down. I told her I want to stay standing here, don’t be so rude, are you the manager? She reply: the general manager( I thought to my self she should be the manager because she is talking to me very bossy, let me tell you, if she is the manager, I don’t want to imagine how she treats her employs... if she treats customer like that. I also want to express my dissatisfaction with the bathrooms, I have gone to this restaurant in multiple occasions and they are always dirty, trash cans full of trash, papers in the floor and the floor full of dirt. This message if for the daughter of the owner, sometimes I see her there, i know is going to be my word against her word, don’t trust me, if you want to check what happen, check the cameras recording, you will see there the situation... it was between 11 to 11:15 in the morning.
