“5” Star experience, and here is why: Wow! Such a warm and welcoming greeting by the sweet lady in the dinning room - was she “Vera?” I do not know … however, this is exactly how a paying customer should be received. This is SO IMPORTANT! The young man serving us was attentive and polite. The food was prepared accurately, quickly, and the quality was excellent (pancakes, eggs, toast, fruit, coffee. Good value! The restaurant is meticulously clean, again, so important! Glass door and windows, tables, floors, men’s room, and even the cooking area (yes, I took a look).
My wife and I dine out often, we recently retired and live in Waxhaw, we are first time patrons, and we will be adding Vera’s to our breakfast out - rotation. 10 am arrival (transaction: 128410). Final note: the other young lady in the dinning room serving her customers was outstanding in every way! I was close enough to witness her efforts as well.
Vera, if you are out there you are executing perfectly. ...
Read moreI highly recommend this restaurant. Going in I figured it would be a typical Southeastern US Mexican joint, but we were surprised to see breakfast offerings, American lunch fare, and burritos and street tacos. I wish I didn’t live two hours away so I could come back often and try everything. I got a burrito stuffed with rice, beans, and seasoned chicken. The tortilla was homemade and it showed! It came with two salsas that were definitely homemade and really elevated they burrito! I ended up adding on some fries and they were way better than I would have expected- they had kind of a battered flakey texture and more flavor than generic fries. My wife got a breakfast plate with French toast and keeps talking about how she wants to go back to this place. It came with some hash browns that nailed the balance of crunch and soft better than I may have ever seen, and they tasted great. The staff were really personable...
Read moreMy wife and I were over this way visiting on a day trip. I prefer to eat at locally owned places when I visit these small towns. I found this Diner on Google maps before our trip and decided it was where we would eat. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and invited to sit wherever we chose. The dining area was clean and pleasant. We didn't dive deep into the menu as we each ordered burgers but the menu has a good variety, which I like because you can make it a new experience every time you visit. My wife got the classic burger less the onions. I got the jalapeno cheeseburger. Both with fries. The burgers were delicious, cooked well, served on a very good bun. The vegetables toppings were fresh and crisp. Best of all the sandwich was not messy to eat. The fries were crisp and lightly salted, not greasy. We had a very enjoyable lunch here and would definitely...
