Waxhaw Tap House — Restaurant in North Carolina

I love that the taphouse is LGBT friendly and will support them for that reason. The atmosphere is nice, they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly, inside and out and have treats and water bowls. When I went (Wednesday evening) they were having mingo (music bingo) and the leaders were super nice. It was a bit loud though and is broadcast into the outdoor areas. This is great if you want to play outside but if you want to go to the taphouse and have a quiet evening/talk with friends it makes it difficult to find a space for that. I was interested to find they have a Pepsi vending machine inside. I tried both sours they had on tap and they were bad... the bartender did offer me a sample ahead of time though and I declined, so that's on me. Better luck next time for me...

I have been waiting to visit this bar FOREVER. I was excited to go with the hubby and have some good drinks on a Sunday. However, I NEVER FELT more invisible. It wasn't busy. It took 5 mins before we were ever acknowledged. A couple came in after us, walked right up to the bar and got their drink orders taken....yet we had come in before them and we were sitting at the bar. smh. It seems like they pay attention more to their regular customers than anyone else. I was hoping to be a regular but now that won't be happening. The one guy that saw us never acknowledged us at all. I guess since, as he put it, "Dude, I'm going to the beach tomorrow so my mind is NOT here!". Smh. Sorry, you guys lost my business and that of my colleagues. You have my favorite drink there...

Our first time here. It came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! Big, open space with plenty of seating, both inside and out. The band, Unknown Artist, was playing on the outside stage this day, and there is a raised stage and good setup to see a band. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the crowd was fun and friendly, too! The beer options are really good, and they have something to suit pretty much everyone's taste. There is a food truck there set up by QR code at the tables where you can order and they bring it right to your table. It's a cool and efficient idea! The prices are a bit high, but the food is tasty. We will definitely be back and also highly recommend this...
