Don't walk, RUN from this place!
Hands down the worst Wendy's I have ever been to! I've come to the Garner location a few times, and I always leave disappointed.
Today, I ordered on the app and went through the drive thru to pick up my order. I had ordered a meal and paid a few dollars extra to substitute the fries for something different. The very rude young woman at the window handed me my drink, checked in my order without checking if they actually had what I ordered, and then came back to the window with a huge attitude to tell me they didn't have what I ordered. I asked to substitute it for something else and I could pay for any price difference. She ageed, then she came back to the window with a bigger attitude to tell me they didn't have the substitute I requested either. So, I asked her to just cancel my order. She claimed she had already checked in my order, so she couldn't cancel it. Obviously, why would you check in an order if you didn't have what a customer ordered??? I told her she would have to refund it (which I have had to do at other locations once or twice when they were out of what I ordered, so they absolutelycan refund a mobile order)--she claimed she couldn't refund a mobile order (which, again, they absolutely can, even if they have to refund you cash). Common sense says if you don't have what a customer ordered, and you don't have anything they want as a substitute, then you need to refund their money, right??? Apparently common sense is non-existent at this location.
The cashier became even more belligerent and tried telling me I would have to pull up to wait for my refund and it would "take as long as it takes. Probably a while!" At that point, I refused to pull away from the window, because I wasn't about to wait half an hour for these rude jerks to fix their mistake, and about 45 seconds after I refused to move, the manager came to the window with the substitute I asked for that they claimed they didn't have. The manager also claimed she couldn't refund the order, and acted like I was strong arming them into giving me a side order I didn't pay for. When I reminded her that I had paid an upcharge for what I originally ordered, that I was happy to take a refund and go elsewhere, and she should learn from her store manager how to refund a mobile order she just ignored me and walked away. The cashier just rolled her eyes for about the eighth time--honestly, it looked like the cashier was going to roll around on the ground and have a temper fit like a little toddler. After I drove away, I realized they gave me the wrong drink in the beginning too........they can't even get a drink right at this location. Smh.
This place is ridiculous. It's the first time I have ever refused to pull up from the window to wait for food or something to be fixed, but the cashier was just so rude! Every time I come here the experience gets worse. No point in ever...
Read moreThis location continues to be absolutely pathetic, and in my opinion, either needs better training or just needs to be closed permanently. The drive thru line is always slow and they can't seem to help but one vehicle at a time....really, one vehicle pulls up to the speaker and their order is taken(if they're lucky) and pulls forward to the window....the next vehicle is told to "Hold please" when they get to the speaker, and you wait forever...then when the first vehicle pulls away from the window, you're order is taken (if you're lucky). It hasn't been at sporadic times that this happens, but at EVERY visit I've had in the last 6 months. Tonight, I thought surely it had gotten better since my last visit a month before, so I tried it again....but I was proven wrong!! I waited 10 minutes in line (only 2 vehicles were helped during this wait) only to hear, "I'm sorry but we're out of Frostys until our truck comes in tonight". What?!?! Now mind you, I could hear the vehicle in front of me being told the same thing with whatever he ordered, so he ordered something else and was told that again.....he replied "well what do you have?" PLEASE Corporate Headquarters, if you see this review, HELP THEM OR SHUT...
Read moreStopped going here a while back after they made a mistake on almost every time we went there. Tried it a couple more times after management changed. Both times they were out of baked potatoes, saying they take a long time to cook. Well yeah, but that means you plan for that! Stopped going again. Decided to try one more time this week after more than a year. I walked in and was first in line. I watched 2 employees walk by me multiple times without acknowledging my presence. One disappeared to the back. The other then continued to take drive thru orders. After waiting a couple of minutes I left and went to Smithfield’s where the customer service and food never disappoints. This location has customer service and management problems for almost 10 years. Don’t think it will ever change. Sad. Wendy’s is a good chain, just not this one.
