Apple Spice Box Lunch Delivery & Catering Charleston, SC — Restaurant in North Charleston

Apple Spice often caters to our office for lunch. The food is usually fresh, although portions can be a little lacking (only one thing sliver of meat on a sandwich, etc). Our most recent catering order was nearly inedible though. I had a box with a turkey avocado sandwich, chips, and a brownie. Our order also came with gallons of sweet and unsweet tea. The sandwich had a lot of meat on it so I was initially excited, but it had a kind of slimy feel to it, like it was out of date. The avocado was overripe and so the dominating flavor of the sandwich was flowery. I had to throw it away. The brownie had a weird taste to it, it seemed similar to a cleaning product as if maybe the dough has been mixed in an improperly rinsed bowl. Additionally, the unsweet tea was so old it tasted like it had been brewed several days ago in a coffee maker that had not been cleaned out. It was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be eating anymore boxed lunches from this catering company.

This was one experience out of a handful of alright experiences, but the quality was so lacking that I do not believe it is worth it to try Apple Spice again. There were too many issues with the boxes that should have been caught by any sort of quality...

We have worked with Apple Spice for our corporate catering needs for about six weeks now. We mainly order boxed lunches and breakfast platters for corporate meetings and without fail, always get a “Thank You” follow up call from manager Eric Yon. I have been working with many Charleston caterers for years and this is a unique touch from Apple Spice! They absolutely exceed expectations when it comes to Customer Service, presentation, packaging and the quality of food is outstanding. Called to place order was told they couldn't deliver they were booked.. Called back to see if we picked it up could they still make our food about 12 orders was told yes to email our orders to an employees email address. So we emailed to got no response so we called to only be told the employee was out on deliveries. They took our order again to have it ready 15mins later then requested thats OK. Get back with food and the bread was bigger and thicker then the meat on the sandwich, cookie was burnt. I asked to add tomatoes on sandwich no tomatoes this was my sandwich for the price you would think there would be meat on that thick bread.. Never...
