Normally I absolutely love this bakery. I like the regular lady at the register. We usually have a quick nice talk, sometimes the lady in making the coffee chimes in, a lot of times I'll get my parents something as well and some "day old bread". Today.... they had a new girl at the register. I ordered a ice latte which the barista was making. My husband ordered coffee from the already made coffee from the containers with nothing in it. So all she had to do was press on the top and put a lid on. While she was doing that I was in the middle of ordering a cinnamon roll for my mom when I was abruptly cut off by her with "would you mind waiting until I am done with this?" I got quiet and went "oh, I am sorry " she then made a giddy face like she won something and said "that's okay ". So I waited and then she asked what kind of cinnamon roll I wanted. So she did hear me and had no reason to say anything at all and I quickly said the deluxe, my husband finished the transaction and we quickly left, and my husband and I were like, "wth was that?" When we left. Mind you she did that in front of two or three other customers and they and us got quiet. It was just...odd. idk, maybe she was having a bad day. I have ADHD so I understand having a hard time concentrating. But I feel like that wasn't the case since she remembered what I said. She could have said a please in there, or I am sorry, because I wasn't aware one cinnamon roll was that I have a problem whole pouring coffee. I guess you really do not know what's going on in people's heads and what they are dealing with. It was also pretty pricey, $21 for a ice latte, already made coffee and a cinnamon roll. I'll probably just stick to the orange spot...

As soon as we walked in, the manager /hostess short dark hair a little bald guy stopped us in our tracks and asked us" what are we doing today" I told him we wanted a carry out and asked can I take my special needs child to the bathroom 1st he paused and said with straight face okay. As we came from the restroom he kepted looking at us andcdirected to the bar repeatedly as if we didnt hear him the 1st time.
We finally went to bar,No one ask us we wanted until 10 mnts later the bar tender took our order. The manager came around again to the bar .I asked for an IPA. he paused again with a bitter look before replying and ask would I like a bold or less hoppy, I replied very light pls.
We finally got our food,The manager/ hostess still watching us as we were leaving never bothered to tell byr or say thanks for coming in.
I feel my race played a part in the bitter experience we got. The manager/hostess was definitely not friendly and made his point he really didnt...
Read moreAfter eating inside of the Evo Pizzeria, my group went outside around to the back of the building to see the Bakery. You cannot get to the bakery from inside of the Pizzeria, even though there's a sign with an arrow pointing to a hallway that makes you think so. The bakery is lovely and quaint inside, with seating outside only. I didn't notice the small selection of food available as I am used to not being able to eat much of anything inside any bakery, since vegan bakery hasn't caught on in the U.S. yet. But I did see dark chocolate candy bars at the counter and at least one was vegan, so I purchased that. Delicious! Obviously, as a vegan the only thing that would make this place better for me would be for them to offer more vegan things! But until that time comes, it's still a good place to visit for vegans and non-vegans alike. The others in my group purchased a pie they said...
