The waitresses were great. Checked on me but not too much. Awesome

Didn’t have to ask for extra napkins…she automatically gave a reasonable amount like sensible people. Awesome

Asked for suggestion on pizza and she gave detailed suggestion. Didn’t have her name on the receipt or I would mention her. (Y’all should change that so they can get their praises)

My opinion

Anyway…. I actually changed my original order based on her suggestion! I got one with pistachio pesto and some word I had to look up (crème fraiche). When I found out it had probiotics in it…! Yes please !

I was very good but not what I was expecting. Thought there was going to be a sour crème flair with it. She offered to take it back. I said of course not. It’s not bad, I like it. It’s just not the flavor I had expected.

She mention the house made sauces. And added it might up the flavor. I said yes please . However, she forgot to mention there was a charge .99 for each.

No worries though. She was right…. Took tasted great to deliciously interesting.

The sauces were fresh, tangy and flavorful.

Oh but I started with the wood fired olives. Be careful they are not pitted. You get the pleasure. They were very tasty. More woody and interesting than flavorful but I’d get them again for sure.

I tried the beer she suggested as well. Tasted 2 . Sorry don’t know the name. It was the first on the menu. Tangy taste.

Atmosphere was OK. Was kind of busy. It was early Saturday so that was to be expected.

Outside seating available and of course she asked my preference. I choose inside. It’s not romantic or cozy. But comfortable. Chairs are wooden but you won’t be there that long anyway.

Food came out in decent time with as many people there.

This is 2 miles from Pilot truck stop close enough to walk. I caught an Uber back cause rain drops were falling and it...

We will NEVER return! Evo used to be an AMAZING place! Today was an absolutely awful experience. While there were empty tables inside, the manager told us our only options were either 2 bar stools right by the "to go" pick up area, or to eat outside. Reluctantly, we chose outside, where we were completely abandoned. Our server came out within minutes to take our drink order, but we told her we were ready to place our dinner order as well. Someone else brought our waters and Cokes, and eventually the Focaccia bread. However, we sat there, with no update on our pizza for 45 minutes before having to ask another server if we could get more water and ice while we sat, sweltering in 95 degree temps. Our server never once came back to check on us. No apologies, no "our kitchen is backed up," no "sorry, we're extremely busy," no warning that we'd have to wait that long with zero service. When she finally brought the pizza out, again, no apologies or explanation of her disappearance, or why we had to sit without drinks for so long. When the Margherita pizza was brought to the table, it had very little cheese, and no plates were brought out. The pizza appeared to have been sitting for quite some time before it was brought out to us. Nothing like what we'd had there in the past. We ditched most of it. A completely miserable experience and waste of money. We still tipped 20% but definitely shouldn't have. It's unfortunate, because this place used to be wonderful. Evo really needs to step up their service and concentrate on their quality of food. Don't waste your time or money there! Highly...

I came by this evening to have a quick bite with my husband and two kids. We were meeting friends at a brewery nearby but my daughter was hungry and our friends were running late.

I asked for a table for us and friends for a total of 9. The manager there wouldn’t seat us because the rest of our party wasn’t there (understandably) so I told him just to seat us at a 4 top and that we wouldn’t be needing a bigger table- because my daughter was hungry and our friends were running late anyways. There were several open tables and it was still early - like 5Pm.

The manager (I believe his name is Neil), responds to Me “well we know that’s not true”. I was a bit shocked that he basically just called me a liar - mind you- I wasn’t lying- I was planning to sit down and order a pizza and salad for me and my husband plus my two kids (side note- well behaved and 2 and 4 years old). We were probably going to have a couple drinks too and then meet our friends within 45 minutes - so a quick easy meal.

But this didn’t end up the case. He actually asked us to leave. Me, my husband, and our two very young children. Completely rude and unnecessary. I have never in my life been kicked out of a restaurant! This man doesn’t deserve to manage anything, certainly not customers.

I’m appalled at the restaurant for having such a rude manager. I reached out to the owners a our the incident and they didn’t apologize. I do not recommend supporting this business, especially if you’re coming...

Sampling Pizza from across the United States we discover that the best pizza-salad combo in the United States is right here in North Charleston, on East Montague Avenue: EVO PIZZARIA!! The food is always nutritious and delicious! The service team is next level skilled; they know their food! I love watching them work together to give folks an outstanding dining experience! It's also a treat to watch Bennie and the other cooks work that wood fired stove. The pizza speaks to their craftsmanship with that stove! Every time I bite into the pizza or salad I feel my body say thank you. On my birthday I'm pictured with our wonderful servers: Eli and Chrissy! They are beautiful people on the inside too!! Then in the next picture you can see my wife digging into the meatballs after she gave me the camera. I thought it was my birthday (lol); look at the anticipation on her face. It's a wonderful testimony to the EVO quality of food! check out the salad on the table; its as good as it looks! Also pictured are Bennie and Preston in front of that woodfired stove. In our opinion the best pizza in the United States: EVO Pizzeria, on East Montague, North Charleston, SC! We found good pizza at three other restaurants: one in each state: Alaska, Tennessee and Michigan, but they could not compete with EVO right here in the low country!
