Where to begin? I've had my eye on this place for a minute. Its location is humble--next door to a non-descript motel--but I was curious. When I started to notice customers, I decided it was time to give it a shot. My first impression walking in was favorable. The decor is homey but very cheerful with lots of flowers overhead and on the table. When we arrived, we were allowed to choose our seat whilst the server grabbed us menus. Since we were down for a light lunch, we decided to share chips and salsa and a bistec a la Mexicana. The order hit the table fast. First was a sauce trio of green, red, and spicy. All were delicious. All had a real kick--be prepared! When the chips and salsa arrived, I knew we were really in for a treat. Instead of the usual pico with tom juice, this was a complex red sauce filled with avocado and fresh cilantro. The avocado was a perfect cooling element to the spicy sauce. Really delicious! The chips were not only freshly fried, but clearly from fresh corn tortillas. I took advantage of the chips to sample the sauce trio--really good but the kick was real! When the entree arrived, they'd very courteously split it onto two plates for us. When I tell you the servings were generous, it's a gross understatement! In addition to the well-seasoned steak cooked with tomato, onion, and jalapeños; there were black beans topped with cotija cheese and Mexican rice. Finally, there were fresh, hot tortillas. Man, when I say they were hot, the steam exploded out when I opened the tortillero! I'm running out of words here for how hot, fresh, well seasoned, well prepared, and how original literally everything was. As if that wasn't enough, the server was kind and gracious and very attentive. I'll be back...I gotta try their...

I stopped by Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant, and I’m so glad I did! The place has such a warm and inviting vibe, with colorful murals and a fun, authentic feel.
Food:
I ordered the empanadas, and they were perfect—crispy on the outside, packed with flavor on the inside, and topped with fresh lettuce, queso fresco, crema, and tomatoes. The portion was generous, and the salsas on the side were incredible. The green salsa was smooth and creamy, while the orange one had just the right amount of heat.
Service:
The staff was super friendly and attentive. They checked in often and made sure I had everything I needed without being overbearing. My food came out quickly, and they even gave me some great recommendations.
Overall Experience:
This place is definitely worth a visit! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and portions. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Read moreI came in here for dinner with my wife after a long day of moving to the region. We were both starving but hoping for a nutritious meal. We both found Mi Ranchito to be great.
We were the only folks in the restaurant and service was quick and personable. Staff speak English and Spanish so it made ordering for me and my wife easy.
We both ordered the same dish which was the carne asada. It was top notch good and a decent serving. The only suggestion I would make is adding a dollop of guacamole.
I did use the bathroom and it was cleaner and nicer than I expected. The atmosphere was nice as well. The other staff were friendly and the aesthetics really make this place feel a bit more upscale. Parking was easy for us, but the parking lot is a little small. Now that we are locals we are sure to return for...
