Paddock & Whisky — Restaurant in North Charleston

Made the mistake of trying this place for the 2nd time. First time was just ok and decided to try for a 2nd time thinking the 1st was a fluke. Turns out, it was even worse the 2nd time. First of all, the service from the bartender was just rude. There was only sports commentary on the TV and we asked if we could watch something else. We got a rude reply like how dare we ask. The bourbon was way overpriced. The old fashioned was priced ok, but got bourbon on the rocks and it was double the price compared to known upscale places like Grace and Grit. A $40 bottle of bourbon shouldn't cost $20 and its not even allocated. The food was more disappointing. Had the quarter chicken the 1st time but it was super small. The 2nd time had the chicken sandwich and wings. Wings looked good, but lacked flavor. This place might as well serve a glass of Evan Williams with an ice cube and call it a day. One person went to the bar to order and he asked for some whiskey options, and the bartender said “I don’t have time to review the full list for you. Whatever you want to shoot back is what I’ll serve you.” This isn’t a honky tonk dive bar. After we “shot back” our drinks we cleared our own table and didn’t so much as get a thank you or smile. We are the last ones to leave. It’s raining and freezing and we didn’t drive, so we are all waiting for our rides under the little protection they have.
