Biryani District — Restaurant in North Creek

Wanted to try Indian cuisine again after many years and since this restaurant is close to my work place, i gave it a try. Having dined in at high end Indian Restaurant before, i have to say the Chicken Tikka Masala curry there is delicious. Super creamy and flavorful. The chicken itself could be better if it’s made more tender, but overall i did enjoy the meal. What’s more is the customer service was great. Krishna, who is cool, is attentive and helpful to me during and after the selection of the meal.

I ordered the curry spicy, but it came out not spicy at all to me and I was surprised, knowing in India, they have high spice tolerance. Maybe i have higher spice tolerance than the average person, or maybe the chef forgot to add in the spice 🤷‍♂️ but they took care of it promptly once i brought it out.

The restaurant’s space itself could use a bit more decoration to improve the looks and feels when dining in. Things around like furnitures and decors are very plain and basic. More investment in the dining space might increase the dine-in ratio because so far, i didn’t see anybody else sit down and eat beside myself, only a bunch of people came in to order to-go.

Being a Hyderabadi, finding authentic biryani outside of my hometown has always been a challenge. But this place? అసలు (Asalu), they've nailed it! The biryani was అద్భుతం (Adbhutam - fantastic), with every grain of rice exuding flavors reminiscent of our beloved Hyderabad. I was particularly happy that they showed restraint in using artificial colors, keeping it as సహజం (Sahajam - natural) as possible. The blend of spices was spot-on – neither too overpowering nor too mild, capturing the essence of our hydrabadhi culinary traditions.

Even though I opted for a takeout, their service was ఉత్తమం (Uttamam - excellent). The order was ready as promised, packed with care ensuring no spills or messes. The staff was సౌమ్యమైన (Saumyamaina - courteous) and ensured a smooth pickup experience.

From the tantalizing aroma and rich taste to the neat presentation in the takeout packaging, combined with their top-notch service, it's a నిజమైన (Nijamaina - true) Hyderabadi experience. I gave this place 5 stars 2 months ago, but after my recent order, they don’t even deserve 1 star. On Aug 28th (Friday evening), I ordered two family packs – Goat Dum Nawabi and Goat Mandi – for my birthday party. What I received was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life.

The food was stale, rotten, and smelled disgusting. It wasn’t even cooked fresh that day. After eating it, my family and friends got sick. I had to throw away almost $200 worth of food straight into the trash. Imagine the embarrassment on my birthday when my guests got ill from this garbage.

To the restaurant: if you cannot run a proper restaurant, shut it down instead of poisoning people. Don’t play with people’s health.

To anyone considering this place: do NOT waste your money, do NOT risk your health. This is absolute trash and a disgusting excuse for food.
