I am from Dallas (Indian food capital in US) visiting a friend in Seattle. She suggested Biryani Bistro and I was like are you kidding me… but she insisted I tried the food at this place, so off we go. The place is well setup, nothing super fancy yet elegant and clean. We have ordered the Chicken seekh kabab, and three kinds of biryanis (Raju gari Chicken Pulav, Goat dum Biryani, and Cut mirchi Biryani).
Seekh kabab was perfectly done and well presented, just crispy outer, soft and juicy to the bite with right blend of spice and taste (impressed)
Then came the Biryanis, Raju gari Chicken pulav was amazing the chicken was boneless with lots of cashews mixed in came on top of the rice, the pulav rice was tasty by itself but the combination with the chicken and rice mixed in was terrific.
Goat dum biryani was one of the best I had States side in a very long time. The pieces were cut to the biryani size just right(not big not small), very tender meat well prepared and layered in rice for the Dum. The biryani rice was amazingly flavorful, the basmati rice grains were thin and miles long (more like and inch and half), rice dum was to perfection. (Mind blown)
By now I was full but I reluctantly tried the Cut mirchi biryani as the name and concept was intriguing, it is vegetarian and was skeptical. I had the biryani rice first and the flavor was completely different from the goat biryani and in a very good and unique way, then I took a bite with the cut mirchi piece and boy oh boy I was floored, soft perfect size to the bite, it was an experience I never had in a vegetarian biryani, simply unique first of its kind (Stratosphere).
Coming from Dallas I went in with very low expectations and I was amazed at this establishment’s standout taste and quality. I left the place wanting a spot like this in Dallas (even though Dallas has many great Indian restaurants). The place is that good and truly lived up to their name “Biryani Bistro”. If you are craving authentic Biryani and Kababs, Biryani Bistro in Bothell WA is a must visit.

Read moreEdited review after trying items from the full menu (no change in rating)… the best in town right now.
We had veg dum biryani and veg Manchurian on Jan 24th, 2024. Veg Manchurian is dry and the same taste as in restaurants back in India.
And the veg dum biryani is THE BEST BIRYANI I HAVE EVER HAD. Out of the gate, it matches the exact taste like paradise/bawarchi in India. Wow… pls continue the same great taste for the veg dum biryani.
The food here is amazing. A new competitor for other Indian restaurants in Bothell area.
I was skeptical first to try this place due to the poor reviews from their opening week. But I do not regret going there , as food was so delicious. They explained that during the first week they were still training someone and did not work out as expected, but they are working hard now to get back on track and I had a very pleasant experience.
They still are running on the soft launch menu, and We had a thali, egg curry, and egg biryani.
The thali was good size, with two curries, paneer butter masala and chole. Both were good. The portion size was perfect.
And I like the fact that they give it in Togo containers there itself in a tray, and after eating in plates there, you can take the rest of the food back home.
Of all the dishes we had, egg curry and egg biryani need special mention as they are so damn good. The flavors in the egg biryani were so fresh and perfect balance of spice. I like that the eggs are not overcooked in biryani.
And the egg curry is more like egg keema style, where there are egg pieces in the gravy along with boiled egg. This is a rare combo you get and is perfectly cooked.
I will definitely repeat this place, and so should others looking for good Indian food.
I hope that you will not be...
Read moreI recently visited Biryani Bistro, which has taken the place of the former Ruchi restaurant at this location.
The restaurant is well-maintained, clean, and organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The setup now resembles more of a self-service model, which is a noticeable change.
While the cleanliness and overall ambiance were impressive, the food itself did not leave a lasting impression.
I tried the Pungulu, but unfortunately, they did not taste fresh. The texture and flavor were underwhelming, making it difficult to finish the dish.
The accompanying chutneys were also disappointing—particularly the coconut chutney, which seemed to be pre-made and lacked any distinct flavor.
Additionally, I ordered samosas for takeaway. While the samosas were decent, they were served without any mint or tamarind chutney, which are typically expected accompaniments that enhance the flavor.
Overall, while Biryani Bistro maintains a clean and well-kept environment, the food quality did not meet expectations.
There was nothing particularly memorable about the taste or presentation that would make me want to return.
I hope they improve the freshness and flavor of their offerings to provide a more enjoyable dining experience...
