My husband pick this place for my birthday. (First time here) We drove 70 miles to get the king crab legs which is like $96, he doesn’t mind paying that much to get the food that I’m craving for but to my surprised I was served with two snow cluster crab legs, good thing I can tell the difference between the two kinds of crab legs. I was hesitant to complain because I’m not that type of person but I also don’t want my husband to pay $96 for the snow crab legs. So, I finally asked the waitress and she left for a bit and asked someone and she came back to tell me that it’s not a king crab legs and she also made the excuse that she’s new? She apologized and I told her it was okay and I’m okay having the snow cluster crab legs as long as I don’t get charge for the $96 King crabs. I’m not hoping to get a free meal but then she came back and said ( we can get you 1 king crab leg for $25) I think God is watching over me and I refuse to take the offer. I’m already lost my appetite and sick to my stomach and wondering how many people can’t see the difference and pay the price. Then we move on to my husband’s order grouper, it tasted really bad and I can tell that it’s not a grouper, (tasted like the fillet frozen tilapia from Walmart) if it is, it’s been dead for a long time which they claim it comes fresh everyday. I love seafood a lot, I pick seafood than any other meat and I can tell the difference. We didn’t complain about the grouper, my husband did not finish his meal. We decided not to come back and for the bad food, fair atmosphere and poor service, I always tip more than 20% which I don’t think anyone will do after. This place has a huge menu and I think they need to find a good chef and service can be improve because the food we order is not cheap but it is made in a cheap way and very...
Read moreIf You Have A Food Allergy Ask For The Manager To Take Your Order And It May Come Out Right…. 5 of us went to Woodys for my sister BDay. During the ordering process I explained that I had an ALLERGY to Onion NOT a dislike an ALLERGY to the waitress. I asked what was in the potato part of the meal she gave the ingredients and when she got to chives I said is there a substitute I can’t eat that, she then offered a baked potato then I asked about the veggies she said there were no Onions in that. I said I’m good then for the special of the day Prime Rib. My sister orders the same and my niece gets a chicken sandwich and tells the lady No onion and could you add cheese. We wait patiently and then the food arrives. My sister and my food is fine my nieces has the onion on it. I tell the waitress that the onion needs to go. My niece says just go take it off and give the sandwich back no need to remake it. We start eating and I begin dipping the prime rib in the au-jus sauce and notice what I think is an ONION. We get the waitress’s attention and ask if the au-jus sauce has ONION she said she would go check. She comes back and states that is does. I run to the store to buy Benadryl and take 6. My tongue is not right we pack up and get ready to go. The waitress came over and said she thought I just didn’t like onions both my niece and sister said SHE TOLD YOU SHE HAD AN ALLERGY. We left . We will not be back she was very rude. She must have been talking with the other staff because we heard them gossiping. I called the manager and explained what happened and asked him to inform the staff about allergies and they don’t know what is in the food ask ALWAYS ask. Very...
Read moreWe went to Woody's for Father's Day. We've been to Woody's on multiple occasions and wanted a relaxed atmosphere with outdoor dining. We did not make reservations and when we arrived we were told we had 1.5 hr wait time. We decided to go to the Tiki Bar outside (our first time) to wait and have some drinks. Fortunately, a spot opened up at the Tiki Bar and our bartender, John, greeted us and offered for us to sit down. We ordered drinks and appetizers thinking that we would eventually sit down at our table when it was ready. However, John was super-personable and attentive that we decided to stay at the bar and finish out our meal. We had broiled scallops and a seafood feast dinner. Our food was served promptly and we enjoyed it. For appetizers, we enjoyed the rockfish bites and crab balls -- again, served very promptly. We had such a great time that we had to write a review to alert the management at Woody's about the excellent service we were provided by John. John was not only attentive, prompt, and courteous, but he represented Woody's professionally and his level of service was excellent! It made our entire experience that much better. It's not everyday that you get top-notch service, so it's something to rave about. If you're looking to go to Woody's, be sure to go to the Tiki Bar and say hello to John! And, if you have a chance to sit at the Tiki Bar for dinner, do it .. you'll have a great time and enjoy your food...
