I was at HomeDepot in North Hampton , NH and rented a pickup truck. first off these are first come first serve. I rented the truck and left. came back 2 hours later where the representitive behind the counter told me I should have had the truck back 45 minutes ago (eventhough there is no time limit)
Audra G I believe is what her name was. she then began to say these trucks they rent are for customers buying items at the store. which is weird because I have spent just over 6500.00this current monthly bill statement, no not that particular time and day but the month of mid May to mid June 2018. She berraded myself and my sister in law, would not go check the truck for damage or gas, she asked for the reciept for gas wouldnt make a copy for me. I needed the reciept because this was a work rental. She brushed us aside took the keys basically out of my hands and then told us that a (PAYING) customer was waiting for the truck and she fidnt have time to go look it over. she slid my reciept over the counter and told us she needed to "deal" with another customer. So she brushed us off. when we left the store after rethrning the truck it was about 15 minutes after dropping the truck off and being brushed off, the truck still had not been rented. i want you to know that there is no time limit on the trucks. I'm paying 19.99 for the first 75 minutes and 5.00 for every 15 minutes after. I dont know why it makes sense to be rude sigh and just plain be bad at her job to a customer who spent a little over 10,000 between the 3 local stores in the last 6 months. why? thank you Audra G located at the North Hampton , nh store. you have lost a customer and possibly lost my company as a pro member and customer. If home Depot cared about theit customers they should fire you tomorrow. Lowes would gladly accept us as customers. Home Dope needs to train their associates better. You survive in the retail/ hardware and supply store industry because the vustomers allow it. If you anger and mistreat your customers, you will surely lose them.
hope this...
Read morePurched pallets of pavers a couple of weeks ago. On delivery day , waited all the 1st estimated time of delivery . No show. no call. No email, no text. Called and was told rolling time to the afternoon. Same no show or communication. Called again and given time of delivery between 6 :30 - 7:30 in the evening. Again no show. Called again and was told the delivery truck was here in the afternoon but no one was home. LIES!!! 2 people were here all day and evening waiting for delivery. I lost a day's pay staying home waiting. Cancelled order.!!! BUT - This was the 2nd time we experienced the exact same scenario. Last summer this time we ordered drip stone and experienced the same rolling time frames and no show of product. Calls we made up the ladder finally related to us that the employee had walked off the job.??? Still not communicated to us that there would be no delivery. Regardless off any reason, the customer, who lost a day's pay waiting for the delivery, deserves notification of the product not arriving and future free delivery if we ever trust home depot again. Additionally, on both occasions I was basically told to deal with the delivery company used by home depot myself I did .ot do business with nor hire another delivery company. They are not my issue or problem. It's this home depot's problem. The customer does not deal with whoever home depot uses for delivery. Nor is it my responsibility to facilitate . If I pay for product and delivery I e pe t it to be completed promptly and accurately without lies or "pass the buck" excuses. The response from HD told me to fill out a form which cannot be opened...
Read moreI shop at this Home Depot only because it is around the corner from my house. Otherwise, I would go to any other HD. I have read the reviews and they are mediocre at best, having shopped here as much as I have and being a tradesman, I can absolutely see both sides of the reviews. There are some good employees that genuinely want to help people and do their job but it's about a 50/50 mix. I have many times seen the employees use their time there as a social gathering as customers wander around trying to find what they're looking for And not being asked if they need help. Other times, I have seen good employees doing their job and helping customers as best they can. As I stated above, about a 50/50 mix (not good odds). This suggests the management is likely the same at this location as it has been like this for a long time. This store survives because of its location. I have started going to Middleton Builders supply in Hampton, instead. It's a little further from me & a bit more expensive but they sell quality products and have a knowledgeable staff, ready & willing to help customers. If corporate ever reads local reviews my suggestion is this. Send someone from corporate to this location to observe over a few months To see if this is the type of quality & service HD wants to project. If not, put them on notice that there will be a house cleaning. Those who are ready willing and able to tow the company line should be allowed to stay, clean house on the rest. In my humble opinion, this would be the only way to save this store, should the competition...
