Extremely disappointed. I've been a Chicken N' Pickle regular for years now and I've now decided that it's best if that comes to an end. The first couple of visits were GREAT. Extremely accommodating for my family and I, with a good atmosphere. I would order to-go curbside after work frequently and it would be great, but over time the quality went down, however, that was not a deal breaker. I decided to go back to celebrate one of my friend's birthday's (at the time Snowbound was going on, which was extremely cute! We mistakenly picked it over Miracle). It was one of THE WORST experiences. The hostess at the door was extremely rude (a middle aged lady with brown hair, about neck length). We had the last flight time of the day and my friends had already checked in. I was running late, so they decided to come get me to walk me up. When walking back in, I guess the hostess hadn't realized they had already been up and she said "well, last call for drinks is in 5 minutes and the food has ended". My friends responded, "oh we already checked in and everything, and know what we want", which she responded "so you're going to slam a drink in 5 minutes?" Which was kind of confusing considering that although last call was supposedly in 5 minutes, our flight time still had a whole hour, so why would we have to "slam" a drink in 5 minutes? Nonetheless, she proceeds to lead us upstairs where my friend asked about the "last call". She said "our server told us last call wasn't for another 30 minutes", the hostess just blew it off and said "no, I don't know why she said that". To sum up this experience, the server ends up coming to get our order and tell us that not only was last call for FOOD in 5 minutes and drinks wasn't for another 30 minutes. However, there was a whole other mix up and we ended up not getting any food other than the last of what was picked over from the provided food and one round of drinks. There are plenty of other details I'm going to leave out due to me not even wanting to type it all the way out. My last straw was my most recent visit. It started off really pleasant, the young lady that was cashiering was very helpful and the young man who brought my food was also delightful. However, at some point in the evening, I witnessed one of the employees being scolded by who I perceived to be a manager (a taller lady maybe mid 20s? with shorter blonde hair) in front of customers. It was very uncomfortable to witness and I've just decided I'm done spending...
Read moreGreat atmosphere! Lots of people brought their dogs. My party was in Beer Garden 1 and while the mist machines were necessary and helpful after our games of pickle ball, they were not necessary while we were eating. The waiter turned them off when we requested it so it was really not a big deal. Someone showed up late to our party after the tab had been closed. We needed to place another order and the waitress never came back to check on us or take the order. I went inside and found another waitress to take the order and we paid that tab separately...but, it was probably 15 or 20 minutes before we noticed the original waitress wasn't coming back after we told her about the late arrival. It seems like the high school and college crew are just starting their summer jobs and maybe things aren't as put together as they could be in that the waitress wasn't sure how to put in another order after the original tab was closed. But, overall it was a good experience and our late arrival was eventually able to order. The food was delicious and the menu was unique. They definitely were not serving the standard fare that you can get at a dozen other chains. Prices were also fair for the quality and the quantity of food that was served. The games were fun and everyone had...
Read moreWe came to celebrate my nephew's birthday and started out early in the day. We had been there a few hours with people coming and going, all spending money. Between the hours of 1 and 7 we had multiple groups of people show up, buy food an drinks, and then leave.
All of us currently work or have worked in the service industry. My nephew had a bad talk with his fiance outside the restaurant. It wasn't loud or violent in any way. There was no scene and it occurred off their property, but he was upset and came back visibly bothered. One of the servers/managers told us the whole group was cut off from alcohol (I literally had one drink the whole day and have the receipt to prove it and he was the only one who was inebriated), but she said we had been there too long. All of this was after about 20-30 people had shown up and left throughout the day buying drinks and food and there was never even a scene, he was just crying. We never bothered anyone.
We asked one of the other managers who looked like he might be competent, but he said he'd back the other manager even though he didn't witness the situation. We won't likely come back even though we come here a lot.
As we were leaving, one of the founders asked us...
