Where do I start . after getting royally screwed over by a local dealership on a mini cooper I spent a week looking for anyone in kansas city to fix my engine . several and I mean SEVERAL shops flat out said we want nothing to do with these cars and I finally found German auto service it only took about 5 minutes on the phone with Graf to realize I had found the right shop . ran me through a quick overview of the best and worst case scenario for a timing chain which is way more common than it should be on a high end car . he knew exactly what was wrong was spot on with his diagnosis over the phone and gave me an estimated quote for total repair . took the vehicle to him during the Christmas new year holiday schedule season him and his guys were at the tow truck and immediately pushed my car inside and began working on it . I knew there was going to be a delay since ot was the holidays but pleasantly surprised that not only was it done ahead of schedule but the (will be around ) quote did not change at all . this company knows what it is doing and if I decide to continue to own this cooper which has its issues then they have my buisness for life and will recommend them to anyone without hesitation. I have to add the price quoted was unbelievably lower than anyone else I found that would even consider working on this car. Huge thank you guys for the work and...
Read more2 days After I got the belt replaced on my 08 Mercedes there at German.. My car broke down again. Had to pay for a tow again. Buy a belt again. Etc.. bc they left parts of the vehicle incomplete. I went to another shop to get it fixed again and they advised me Whomever worked on it did this and belt was shredded again. I called German and I let him know of this. And asked to be refunded the belt and labor as it was not completed correctly. Called twice. Have not gotten a call back. No compensation for paying double bc they didn't do work completely correct the first time. Will not go there again.
Response to your response: You never stated my car was poorly maintained! Its a used car yes and we take great care of our cars as I thought you would fulfill that. I was wrong. You recommended a seal which I did approve and have you do. You never once offered any type of discount. I asked for one. no response. What I didn't approve was the oil change, Thank God I did or who knows what could of happened next. The belt came off because whoever worked on it at your shop last did not fully put the car back together properly causing to belt popping off again. I got this statement from another German certified shop. Nice try guys, How...
Read moreWe are on a cross country road trip and I started having a problem with the A/C in my Mercedes Benz. I found German Imports Specialists and gave them a call. When I first called, I was on hold for 27 minutes. I finally hung up and called back. They had forgotten that I was on hold and never apologized. However, I still went to them because of the good reviews. Graf called me back quickly with a diagnosis and solution. I told him to go ahead and do the work. When I got back to his shop, he told me I had a coolant leak. When he showed me the “leak” I realized that it wasn’t a coolant leak, whoever was working on my car had broken the reservoir accidentally (he did say that someone might have leaned on it, but then said that it shouldn’t have broken so easily). Although I did not have to pay for the labor, I still had to pay for parts.
After doubling checking his work, I found out that he broke some plastic pins and a latch which shows that he was too rough/not careful. Also, the problem that I originally brought the vehicle in for, still persists. I feel like all I spent today was a...
