Mae's Place — Restaurant in North Kingstown

I ordered the waffle that was pictured on the menu, topped with fruit. The waitress said they were out of strawberries and I said that was fine. I got like 5 small slices of banana and a few blueberries, I thought they would make up for the missing strawberries by adding more fruit but that was not the case. It was not as it was pictured on the menu at all where the entire waffle was covered with fruit. Aside of that, I checked my bank account today and find they charged me twice. Today is Tuesday, they are closed, will have to wait until tomorrow to dispute. We waited to be seated and were told to pick any table, they had 3 open but 2 were dirty and we were not offered to have it cleaned so we c hose the 1 table that was clean. Paid $ 3.00 for tea, a bit much for hot water and a bag of tea. Total was around $ 36.00 dollars, breakfast for 2. I do not recommend nor would I return.

No Rating They have terrible management, terrible waitresses, incompetent not once but twice I stopped in to check out there service and be able to give a review of it but was unable to because the first time They said 10 minutes I waited 45 minutes when I asked the lady she said they forgot to ✍️my name on the list. The second time today we gave her my name she said 10 minutes after 30 minutes went by I see people finishing & 4 empty dirty tables no bus boy cleaning.They where running there mouths at the cash register.When I asked how much longer she said again my name was not on the list and I told her to check she said oh someone crossed it out so there now 3 ahead of you,mind you I was standing by the door no one called my name out at all! In the mean time I observed there no one sitting inside or outside waiting. There was 4 dirty tables. For supposedly being such a good place highly recommend to eat at service sucked! The personel is going to send this business man down the drain. If your from out of town don't bother stopping in at all unless you enjoy being ignored! I give it 1 star based...

My wife and I are omelet fans so on our recent visit to Mae’s Place we both ordered one of the house omelets with home fries. I had to try a side of the biscuits and sausage gravy as well. Our omelets were huge and the home fries were outstanding! The omelets were cooked perfectly…moist and not dried out with an ample amount of fillings. Many times, we find that home fries are grilled with an excess of paprika and garlic flavor, but Mae’s were perfectly seasoned. I also detected a little hint of what I am guessing is cayenne to bring just the right amount of spice for a breakfast potato. Ever since having biscuits and gravy in the South I’ve been hooked, and Mae’s were a pleasant surprise. The biscuits were flakey, and the gravy was thick and loaded with ground sausage. They also have a selection of bagels and delicious looking homemade muffins. We will definitely be back soon as I am looking forward to trying their Johnny Cakes as well as one of those tasty looking muffins. Breakfast is our favorite meal and Mae's Place is our new favorite breakfast spot! Well done...
