Um, the food was hot. I ordered a grand slam pack. This is a family order with 8 pancakes, 8 eggs, 8 meats, etc., but the experience, never again!!! No.
I initially tried ordering it in on the app but it wouldn't let me set the order for pickup without agreeing to 2 hours out, so no go as I was almost to the restaurant.
I then called to do a phone order, the lady answered saying her system was down, can I call back? Um...if I call back the same system would be down....what?! I hung up and decided to walk into the restaurant.
I walked in, the cashier young man immediately said grand slam packs are only offered online, I told him what I had attempted as well as askes him to share what comparable item was available to feed a family? He repeated the same thing. Then, someone walked up to help and they told him it was available and showed him. He jokingly said oh gosh I didn't even know...to the colleague.
She then asked me how she could help me? I repeated it sounds like indeed I can order this, she said yes what else? I asked for all the meats to be bacon, then she immediately walked to yet another rep. The other rep said that was too hard a change and she would be right back.
Then the manager walked over. (4 employees at this point to ring up the order)
The manager said, let me explain to you why our door dash policy, and restaurant policy 🙄 requires ordering a certain way. I was like can I please place the grand slam order, me and my family are really hungry. He proceeded to repeat something else about some auditing and store policies etc..
After about 30 minutes of nonsense the order was placed and then the cashier said she cannot give me a receipt, I didn't even respond my facial expression must have told what I was saying in my head.
LISTEN, DON'T GO HERE! THIS STORE NEEDS RETRAINING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER AT THE COUNTER.
GOOD food, but is it really worth all that? At the very least go to a...
Read moreThis is one of Denny"s newest locations in Las Vegas and the best Denny's I have (not often) had the pleasure of eating. But because of all the updated features and architecture, I decided to try it during their grand opening at the beginning of 2022. I have been a patron of Denny's for (maybe) over 5 decades all across the South Western U.S. They've gone through a lot of changes over that period of time and some locations have gone pretty low. Even the Denny's in W. Sedona, open 24 hours, was forced to close after years of bad reviews. But getting back to N. Las Vegas, this Denny's, after a 1/2 dozen visits so far, provided the best service and food quality I never really expected going in. During a grand opening it is common that they would be over- staffed and very attentive to their new patrons. But the attention to service and quality of food have not waned since their opening. I spoke to the manager yesterday and I said the only criticism I have is the restaurant is not big enough. (It was packed & usually very busy). He said he couldn't agree more. He's been trying to convince the owner to expand a patio on the property. The same manager that opened the restaurant is still there. He must be doing something right. You won't be disappointed. But beware. The days of $1.99, $2.99 and $3.99 Grand Slam Breakfasts are long gone. Like everybody else, they have been subject to inflation and their prices (and operating costs) have increased 25 - 40%. But their portions are large, the quality is great, the service is great, their kitchen staff is well trained and gets the food out fast and their cleanliness is exemplary. Highly recommended. And they have an ample discounted Senior Citizen (55+) menu with great...
Read moreThis restaurant is always clean, and the service is usually very good. That being said, I'm updating this review. We have dined in this Denny's many times. The food is usually fine and the service is usually good. Yesterday was another story. I know restaurants have bad days. I've been there and done that. We had a server who was obviously new to the job, which is fine- everyone has to learn, and he was trying hard and was very nice. The only problem was with the initial service. No one greeted us for a few minutes after we sat, and most people at breakfast want coffee right away, as we did. The main issue, though, was the food. My husband orders the same thing pretty much every time we go there, so he's familiar with the dish. I ordered an omelet I have ordered a few times. Both came really light on the veggies. I didn't complain because I was too hungry to care, but my husband's was really bad. Long story, but we sent it back 3 times and it was never made right. The manager that was there was talking to us and seemingly trying to fix the problem, but he seemed to have his own issues going on...? It was a very frustrating and unsatisfying experience. My husband was in a lousy mood all day and I worry that this restaurant is going downhill. Unfortunately, it's sort of a staple for us, as there aren't many good breakfast places close to our house, and I'd hate to see it get really bad. Denny's should aim to give service and food like Norm's in California. (I'm not from California, it's just a really dependable restaurant- Denny's used to be...
