Mikki’s Speakeasy — Restaurant in North Lauderdale

Came here with some friends for a superbowl event. It was empty when we arrived. We were the first people to order (per our waitresses mouth) and waited over two hours for our food. I got my food an hour and a half after ordering, my second friend got hers 30 mins after me and my third friend never got hers at all.

About an hour after I ate my main dish did my appetizer come. My friend who never got hers ended up eating my appetizer since she had nothing.

The second friend that did get her wings, asked for blue cheese but never got it. I had to walk to the bar for a refill.

There was one waitress serving the whole restaurant for over about an hour before a second one came. They were clearly short-staffed and didn't have enough cooks for bars' busiest night of the year, probably. What is NOT understandable is that my two friends ordered six wings each with fries and waited over two hours for one set but people that arrived after us got a whole tray of wings and fries after us.

Just to cash out took forever as the checks were all over the place. The checks were all wrong. The workers kept apologizing. It was literally chaos and clearly showed poor management. It was evident that there was no rhyme or reason in the kitchen.

It's unfortunate because the place is really nice but.. I have never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant before. Needless to say, I wont ever come back.

The only reason i gave two stars is because our waitress was nice and it wasn't her fault that she was being pulled in a million...

I was looking at reviews because I’m bringing my friends to the establishment for an event, but I’m a FREQUENT patron at Mikki’s Speakeasy ! I just wanna leave a kind review for my new favorite spot! I like to know where my food and drinks come from cause I dont accept anything less than quality stuff! They get their food from reputable sources and their drink supply from reputable vendors! They supply fountain drinks that I’ve never had an experience with them being ‘out of’ a product. Water is ALWAYS available and brought out complimentary as any restaurant. The food is exquisite! I recommend the Philly Cheesesteak and Lamb Chops but the whole menu is delicious! I’ve tried almost everything lol! I was there on Wednesday for Karaoke night and it was the bomb! I go every Wednesday and I have me a good and fun time! I’ve never had an issue with the staff either, they are kind and treat me and other customers like FAMILY! We had an unforgettable Mother’s Day dinner at Mikki’s Speakeasy! The vibe? Immaculate. The music? Soulful. The food? 🔥🔥🔥

I’m plant-based, and the chef personally prepared the most delicious sautéed vegetable medley & mushrooms just for me. I felt seen and fed! 🙌🌱

My husband couldn’t decide on one entree so he ordered both the Escovitch fish & the grilled salmon, and also sampled the oxtail pasta (spoiler: he’s ordering it next time 😋).

✨ The atmosphere was cozy and classy. 🧼 The venue was spotless. 🎶 The music set the perfect tone.

Broward needed this kind of vibe. If you’re looking for a grown and sexy night out with top-tier food and ambiance, don’t sleep on this place! You won’t regret it.
