Whenever you see Jamaican people waiting in long lines patiently you know the food is fresh, hot & good. The beef patties are ok good not the best (the beef was just too watery, the shrimp didn’t taste like shrimp and the ackee was just ok) that I’ve had but they can eat. I also had the potato pudding and I must say it was very tough and hard to swallow. Despite the long lines they are quick and efficient and the service was good for a fast food Jamaican restaurant. I would recommend.

Taste Rite is a favorite bakery. They offer patties with vegetables, chicken, beef, ackee, callaloo, etc. The crusts are delicious and flaky and leaves one craving more. Pair a patty with a cocobread and you'll come back often to savor more. The bakery also offers cakes, breads, puddings and a variety of drinks. If you're having a party order mini patties to give everyone a taste of the Caribbean. I highly reccomend the staff and the restaurant.

I saw on the @Jamaicans YouTube channel that Taste Ryte was chosen as the best patty shop/ bakery in Fort Lauderdale, so I definitely wanted to try for myself. I was not disappointed! The calaloo and veggie patty were delicious, nice, and hot. The ackee loaf was very tasty, and the sweet potato pudding is the best I've had since Jamaica. Everyone was friendly, which I really enjoyed. Whenever I'm in this area again, I'll definitely be back!

For Jamaican patties, this is bar none the best place around, yet despite the fact that I was a twice a week customer for a long time, unfortunately, I cannot allow my rating to indicate the superiority of the food when they have such reprehensible customer service..

I waited 20 minutes for a few veg patties only to find that they were out of every type except for beef since apparently even before I got there. I only found out when the cashier told the couple in front of me that while there are only beef patties left and had been for a while, yet that there weren't enough to fulfill their order. Thus, she told them that they would make a fresh batch and that it would be a 15-minute wait. The couple agreed. Just then, a gentleman cut in front of me and said he had called up earlier about ordering some veg patties and they should be ready. The girl told him that since they were not paid for in advance they did not make them but would get to it right away and the wait would be 15 minutes. Then I figured I would inquire anyway as to if they could add three veg patties to the batch for the gentleman and she refused.

In other words, they made fresh beef patties for the couple in front of me and in the same breath they made fresh veg patties - as I wanted - for the guy who cut in front of me, but REFUSED MY ORDER!

Unfortunately my business is absolutely lost regarding this establishment and I will no longer recommend it to anyone else - I brought a lot of first-time customers to this place over the years. Furthermore in social commentary I will do my best to make sure people do not support this establishment.

In all my years I've never had a place refuse my order to my face for absolutely no reason and agree to make the exact same order for the...

I walked right in and was told that there was two lines by one of the other customers in the store, so I went in where the second register that on the side of the restaurant. As soon as the lady calls “next in line” I walk up. Than she says you weren’t next in line. What she didn’t know is that I wanted 2 dozen patties. So I walked to the back of the line that actually had grown by 6 people from when I walked in. After a 30 seconds I walked out and went to Juici Patties I was there yesterday and I thought I would give “Taste Rite” a try due to there variety and because it close to my house but Juici Patties may not have the variety as of yet however they definitely have the Witter customer service as well as the right atmosphere. At Juici Patties they actually have people that will open and close the door for you and wish you a good day, they also take the time to apologize if there is a wait. Now that’s definitely going above and beyond but that can definitely make a difference. Tighten up “Taste Rite”yall got real...

Unacceptable Experience at Taste Rite

I’ve been to Taste Rite a few times, but I’ll never be coming back. Why is there always a wait for patties? These patties are not even that special. There seems to be no proper management or planning to ensure sufficient stock at peak times. The place closes in an hour, and all they have left are beef patties? And to top it off, they tell people to wait 15 minutes with an attitude.

The patties themselves are disappointing. They barely have any meat or filling. They charge almost $5 for an ackee and saltfish patty with no filling and a thin crust. Businesses need customers; we don’t need you. In this economy, having people wait with no customer service skills is unacceptable. The long wait for patties reflects poorly on the business’s organization and respect for customers' time. This place seems to cater to low standards and poor management.

Never again! I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting decent service...
