Mr. & Mrs. Crab - North Lauderdale — Restaurant in North Lauderdale

Worst experience I've ever had with this chain restaurant. I have tried other locations so I know the service and food can be way better. Let's start with the service, this restaurant is ran by Orientals which isn't the issue, the issue is there were about 7 of them walking the floor but not assisting any of the 10 tables seated. My server had 5 tables scattered throughout the restaurant and the other female server had 5; both servers were African American which doesn't mean anything specifically but I'm just painting a picture for you. The servers had great hustle but they needed help. My group ordered 2 alcoholic beverages in which took 30 mins for the bartender to make. They tasted horribly. The food took 45 mins for them to bring out. The bags of seafood were watery, the flavor was barely there and two of our orders were incorrect. I tried to get one of the people walking the floors attention and she pointed to someone else and walked the other direction, never even came over. I just needed a bucket for our seafood shells that my daughter ended up going over and picking up from the stack on the table. We were seated and greeted right away. The restaurant is very clean and decorated very well. This is where the amazing experience ended unfortunately. Our sever wrote numbers in front of our place settings which was kind of odd, especially considering Covid. By the time our appetizer came we still didn’t have napkins, plates or silverware. We had to ask and our server had to force an “of course” with a smile. We asked for extra ranch for our pickles, but the server forgot. By the time we saw him again to remind him, we were almost done. We were never offered refills. Two of the people at our table ordered crabs, but we had to flag down the manager for tools to open the crab legs. Our table at one point was over flowing with things that could be prebussed, but even with 10 employees walking around not doing much- our table remained full. (We were 1 of 4 tables). I celebrated my bday here on Thursday July 23, 2020 and it started out not good and I had to walk out but came back in and Krystal from the bar walked over to see what was going on and she made everything right! Not only did she care she went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and happy and that's so important with businesses because it's word of mouth that helps keep you open and great customer service! Well the drinks were absolutely the BOMB.COM,LOL! The food was very good and I must say this though they have to do better with portion of food. That one dam corn and one potato is not good at least 2. Don't do that because compared to Crafty Crab portion you get a 5 out of 10! I know you paying 10 cents for those potatoes, sausages and corn so you can afford to give 2 each.
