Dark Side Coffee Lounge — Restaurant in North Little Rock

Highly recommend. In town for the weekend and found this place while searching for a non chain coffee shop. Came in and had a Tres Leches Breve. It was so good! I was worried it might be overly sweet but it was not. Such a treat. They have a good selection of sugar free syrups as well for those who are trying to be mindful of that. Cute decor and it lived up to my expectations. Hopefully I can make it back before I leave!

While sitting in I observed an interesting interaction from a customer who came in to complain about an employee at a different location claiming “maybe they were just having a bad day”. I sat puzzled as to why the interaction warranted a stop in to complain because it seemed ridiculous to say the least. The manager handled it with impressive grace and patience, and ended up covering the cost of the drink. I’m not so sure I could have handled it the same way. Very much impressed with the way it was handled. Speaks volumes to the character of the company and I must say while I am not local, I will do my best to support...

I don't usually leave reviews especially negative ones but I feel like everyone needs a heads up before going there. This was my first visit. I ordered a large Nitro coffee with an espresso shot and caramel And 2 light sabers. On the website it shows the lightsabers are made with red bull. In the store they have changed it from redbull to Lotus energy. They also told me the light sabers only come in one size and charged me $7 a piece. The menu shows this in 3 different sizes and prices. Both light sabers were mediums. When I asked the barista He argued with me About the sizes and price asking me to show him on the menu in which I pointed at the menu where it was posted. He just shrugged it off and started working on the next customer. I also noticed My coffee did not have any caramel in it. Needless to say I was very disappointed in this visit and will most likely not return to...

Atmosphere/Esthetic: 5 Service: 5 I went twice and both of the mentioned above were great. 3 stars go towards the fact that the first time I went I got the Echo. They have three different flavors in this coffee and I assumed they made their own syrups. Sadly I was disappointed and the flavors did not pair well—I forget the name of stripes they use but it’s the same ones used at Starbucks and 7brew😭 The second time I got a normal honey vanilla cappuccino. The barista say it wasn’t filled all the way and began heating up another batch of milk to fill the top…would have ruined the whole coffee.

Overall, I think good coffee shops should make 3-5 have syrups of their own (vanilla being one because it is easy!). Second, baristas need training but also owners should be knowledgeable...
