The last time I was here. The woman in charge was the person who checked me out. I think maybe she was having a very bad day. Or maybe she just doesn't like middle aged white women. She wasn't friendly , not what so ever. She didn't even speak to me . I noticed her abrasiveness immediately and I tried to lighten up the moment, with kind friendliness. It didn't do any good. She was short cold and I'm sorry rude. I do think she was management and or a key holder. She for sure had more authority then the other employees. She firstly ignored me standing at the register waiting . Another employee there a young man was eager to assist me. I told him I was ready to check out and he said oh well that would be and with a far off hesitant rather scared even look in his eyes ane sound in his voice, he went to get the older black Ladies attention for me. whohad already looking over at me standing at the register, and has turned her back to me. And kept up her convo with another black female employee. The two were straightening areas and pallets that had items stacked upon them. She acted annoyed and cold to the polite but scared looking young lad .. As she approached the registrar she spoke not one single word to me. I looked up at her and smiled and said How is your day are you having a good day and she said to me... Umm ,ugh is this all you need? . And I said yes it is. It wasn't but it would be Because there wasn't anything else I wanted to purchase from that store. I won't be back to the Conway location. I'm sure when I say they should be happy that I'm not like some people recording the way I was treated then trying to sue people or something, because of the insulting way she acted and insulting way I felt she was treating me and the young lad, employee the one that acknowledged me and was trying to help . Honestly , your customers are the bone of your company. You can have amazing muscle strength and I mean toned unlike anyone else's muscles . But without the bone your muscle will be little to no good. The bone is what you stand on. If you don't have it you fall. The customer is like the bone. And I do not care who or how pretty or rich or poor or handicapped or not so pretty even that the person/ customer / shopper might appear to be, they all deserve acknowledgement . They deserve respect especially if that person is respectful an tries to diligently he polite ,kind and courteous. I ride myself in being this way. Although anyone who walks through the doors should be treated with respect. Because if they feel offended and obviously disliked. They won't want to come back. The next thing they'll be sure and do is tell at least five people about their experience and then those people will tell five more and so on and so forth. One bad thing happens and word will spread like a wildfire, in a small town. . I promise one thing. If II felt like I was obviously disliked I know other people that came into the store that day,, had to have felt this...
Read moreI had the worst experience at Bargain Brothers NLR. I stayed from 11pm- 12am, left for an hour due to severe weather and came back and went back to waiting 1 - 7am left to get a blanket and came back and waited again until 9:45am. We were first in line. A woman complained on me for leaving even though my husband stayed. The manager told me that even though I was a loyal customer and had waited several more hours than her I had to be the one to go to the back of the line , which by then was very long, because I left to get a blanket. I could have lied when he asked me if I left but I was honest. It felt horrible to wait for that long in the cold and the rain to be the one turned away. Is it fair that someone can come to the store at 6am and report someone for leaving for a few minutes even though it’s not a posted rule any where inside or outside your business for petty reasons because I was first in line and they wanted my spot and the owner agrees with them. I will never waste my time and go back there again to be treated that way. I was not rude to the owner but I did tell him it was an awful way to conduct business and alienates loyal customers. The worse part is he said he would never have said anything if no one complained. Since he is so worried about complaints from customers, he now has a big complaint on his hands. He told my husband he could be doing other things than talking to us, well if you feel you are more important than your customers by all means please go do those things that you feel you were kept from doing by having a conversation with a customer who braved cold and rain for many hours to shop at your store. I refused to go to the back of the line after waiting as long as I did and left. I will not be back!
Worse yet, under this system, you could show up and be first in line and someone lies on you and says you left because they know a rule you don’t “since it is NOT posted” and unless you can prove you stayed you will get booted to the back...
Read moreFirst time visiting the store. Spent an hour going through everything. I found around 8 things that I wanted to get. It was on their $2 day. I picked up a box of Led light bulbs that had clearly been opened. It was a 4 pack but it had a couple of other size bulbs in it as well. I got to the register to pay and the lady starts ripping all the packages and boxes open. She opened the bulb box and saw the 2 extra bulbs in it that were a smaller size than listed on the box. She took the bulbs out and left only 3 bulbs in the 4 pack. I asked what was she doing and she replied with those are not supposed to be in there. I'm standing there in shock that she made a huge deal over a couple of light bulbs. Then proceeded to leave 3 bulbs in a 4 pack box. I was told I would have to pay $2 each for the other two if I wanted them. I'm not messed up over light bulbs but the fact that they rip all of the stuff open and then proceed to pick over what you collect from their tables. This is all returns. So I got a box of bulbs that were mixed and a couple more in the box that was shown. Im truly baffled that they would take stuff out of a box that was on their table and try to make me pay extra. I can go to the store and get bulbs that I know work cheaper than $2 a piece. This place is a scam. Bargain Bros? More like SCAM bros. I...
