I am not a person that has ever posted a review online, but in this case I feel as though I am forced to. Today is April 17th 2020, the middle of the a serious and trying time for everyone in the United States. With so many people sick, scared and doing their best to quarantine as a precaution to help keep this country safe, I was appalled by the way I was treated while trying to support a local restaurant. I hate that I even feel the need to tell this story but, with so many restaurants in need right now I would have expected better from Popeyes in Maumelle Arkansas. I am the mother of 4 children, add myself and my husband, we are talking about a household of 6. We have taken the COVID 19 situation very seriously and have remained home for several weeks now. We are aware of how hard local restaurants have been affected by orders to close lobbies and what it has done to the income of so many employees. Our family has been, like so many people, looking for small ways to help our community. Today we decided that instead of cooking at home like we have for the last few weeks we would spend our money in support of our local Popeyes. I tell you all of this so you can fully understand my astonishment and disappointment in the experience I received from the management at the Popeyes on Maumelle Boulevard. As I sad before we are a house of 6 so our order was not small. When my daughter and I arrived and began to place our order we were cut off multiple times asking us to pull up. We asked if it was possible to add cheese to one of our sandwiches and her response was āThis isnāt freaking Burger Kingā and told us to pull up. My daughter and I looked at each other in shock and immediately wondered why someone would be so rude, especially when we were trying to order enough to help fund the restaurant. When we told the lady we needed to add to our order she would listen to the next item and cut us off again telling us to pull up. She kept telling me the amount that had been added with each item but, did so with distain as if I would not be able to pay for our order. We expressed multiple times that we were going to order several other items for 6 people and her response was that we had already ordered $42.00 worth of food and could not order more. Just so you know we intended to spend $100 plus to help the business. After being forced to pull to the window we were met by a MUCH more pleasant employee. I let her know that the person we were ordering from stoped taking our order and rudely told us to just pull around. The nice girl at the window (not the one taking the order) apologized and said that she didnāt have the ability to add the remaining items we wanted to our order and that we had to go through the drive through again!! I politely asked to speak with a manager about the extremely rude person that wouldnāt even let me finish our order and was informed that THE MANAGER WAS THE ONE TAKING MY ORDER!!!! Iām a mom and as I donāt want to disappoint my family the way Popeyes had already disappointed me I reluctantly drove around again to finish ordering dinner for the family that just wanted to support this local business. After our second trip around while the food from the first trip got cold I was finally able to get our dinner and support a business that honestly doesnāt deserve it. I want to be very clear that managers should set the tone for any business and when it comes to this location the managers have failed miserably! The other employees I interacted with were very pleasant and apologetic; however the behavior of the manager was inexcusable. I was so excited to try my FIRST ever Popeyes chicken sandwich and I feel like it was all ruined by the feelings I had to take home with me. Remember that we are all in this together and no matter what our frustrations we still have to be kind to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe most complacent and lazy night crew I've ever seen. I drove in a few nights ago at around 8:30 pm, to the maumelle location on Maumelle Boulevard, and all the lights were completely off like it was closed, but I knew it couldn't be, it was too early? I came around to the drive thru and all the staff member were standing around outside smoking weed together. I asked "why are the lights off like it's closed? Is Something going on? "Nah." One of them responded before going back into the store and a few seconds later when I was at the drive thru box, all of the exterior lights came back on and suddenly the place sprung to life again. Apparently I had interrupted their slick way of making potential customers think they're closed so they can take a break to get high. Anyway fast forward to tonight, I came through the drive thru and again I'm seeing two employees in the lobby sitting down on their phone, two more are outside in their cars, and I get to the box and the guy goes "popeyes." I said "yes I would like a number two combo and....." the mic cuts me off with a woman away from the headset saying "we outta sandwiches!" Then the guy with the headset on said "we are out of filets." I said "ok.....? Never mind then." So I had an idea, I pulled into a parking spot and made my order again online that way I could force it into their system instead of relying on a worker to put it in. That way they would have to answer to a higher position as to why my order couldn't be completed if it weren't able to be completed. I waited a few minutes and went in to pick it up, and would you believe just like magic they suddenly had everything they needed to make the sandwich. Bunch of lazy kids in there that are hurting the franchise, by lying and saying they are out of things just because they don't want to work for their pay they want to turn the lights out and smoke weed instead. Don't let them tell you they are out of anything. What an embarrassment on their part with this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly this place was the worst place Iāve been to since Iāve been here. They house one of the most disrespectful CREW member. She accused me of stealing a biscuit and eating it. I went thru the drive thru noticed my order wasnāt right and went right in... she scream you ate it!!! Hold up wait a damn minute, a biscuit???? Not 1 biscuits lol I could see if I came in and said my whole meal was missing or messed up, but no it was a biscuit!!! .69 I donāt give a damn about it being 69cent if I didnāt want it I wouldnāt have paid for it!!! Then I said I need honey she said you was too busy twerking to get it, I donāt even dance let alone twerk lmao.. While it was asked at the speaker she said ask at the window which I did, and still didnāt receive it!!! This took place in front of other customers, just no morals, class or organizational values!!!! Letās add insult to injuries, I get all the way home and bite into what is supposed to be an strawberry cream pie and itās an apple pie.... I drive it back and tell the manager.
