La Granja — Restaurant in North Miami Beach

I would definitely give this place five stars for service and atmosphere if it were true however last night for the first time I went in there to have dinner and the service that I received was absolutely horrible it was Saturday night between 5:00 and 7:00 so whoever the young lady that was at the cash register was absolutely disgustingly rude first of all I don't speak Spanish I speak a little Spanish and the young lady at the register was not helpful to me at all as far as ordering I wanted the pork chops but she said she didn't have any pork chops I ended up getting the sauteed beef so a shout out to the cooks that cook the food absolutely phenomenally great delicious the only thing that I would say is that the young ladies that were working the counter and the register they need to be trained in customer service skills and not make somebody that is outside their culture feel bad for going in there cuz that's how generally I felt I don't think I will ever go back in there to be honest with you I'll miss the food I just don't like...

Plenty of parking and accommodates people needing wheeled mobility. Tables are bussed and wiped down after you leave. Place doesn't have have that smell of fryer oil and grilled onions. Their version of black beans is thick and lightly seasoned. Rice was white enough, tender enough. I was surprised and disappointed in my steak. I ordered the 16 oz., hoping to sink my teeth into a thick piece of reddish/pinkish, lightly charred, juicy beef. Instead, they gave me a 1 lb. piece of pounded flap meat cut in half. They were thinner than my old girlfriend, Minnie. All muscle, no fat. I mean the steak. Really lean, tender enough if you slice it against the grain. Pink. Juicy. Had grill marks without a hint of char. Flavorful without being overseasoned. Served with three bottles of sauces, green, orange and white. One of them was kind of hot from chiles. Worst service ever! They can not only speak English they don't understand it. What is wrong with an owner to hire someone who can't take care of his customers.Monday night I tried placed sn order. They pased the phone yo someone who they said spoke an inderstood English. We ordered 1/4 chicken white meat with french fries and salad. , 1/4 chicken white meat with garlic potatoes and salad a fish dinner saying several times that we did not want a fish with the head on. She repeated back to me no head no head on fish. With french fries and salad. I wanted to check my order before leaving and she said its all tied up. When we got home, We had a fish with a head. A large container of black beans , 2 containers of rice and a half of chicken all in one container with both dark and white meat. No salad no fries no garlic potatoes.
