Styx Sports Bar And Grill — Restaurant in North Miami Beach

This place used to be called "Wesleys". It was a very humble establishment from when i started going there in the early 2000's up until about 2016-ish. There was food. There were drinks. And there were pool tables. That was the main purpose of it. You would go would your crew bring your sticks or use the ones there and shoot pool. Eat wings and drink beer and other libations. Pool tables were affordable at about $1.25 worth of quarters per game. Now i go there on a Wednesday night a few weeks back with my boy because i remember the good/fun times i had growing up amd going there and the first thing that was a red flag that i didnt realize was that there was someone outside directing traffic for parking. I say to myself, "that's different" but i carry on with my mission of trying to have a good night. So i park and i notice all the people around are dressed like they are about to be extras in a Rick Ross video. Meanwhile, im just out there in a tshirt, some basket ball shorts and sneakers. So that's red flag number 2. I try to go into the door that i used to go into that i remember and its locked. But i see people making their way in and out of another door in an establishment right next to the pool hall. I say, "bet". We go in and there's a door that you need to pass from this place to go into the pool hall. Me and my boy head that way. And we are greeted by this 5'8" dude who was just sitting at this table tryin to rizz some chick that looks like she had a long day on her feet by the way her face was saying, "i dont want to be here ". He says to us, "its gonna be $10 to go in tonight" i say "huh?... To shoot pool?" He looks up at me and says, "yes. Tonight we charge" and im thinking to myself, " its a Wednesday". But i just really wanted to play some pool with my boy who was having a rough day... So i ask, "can i pay with a debit card?" He shakes his head and says "no". I tell my boy, "Lets go!" . This place is no longer the neighbourhood spot. They have turned it into some value mart version of a "night club" and surprisingly people are falling for it. But I'm not really surprised. Sometimes when you're not used to anything, you can slap lipstick on a pig and people will call it a godess. I know better. That's a pig and im off the swine. If you go there be prepared to...

honestly I’d have to say me and my friends enjoy ourselves every time we step in here. THE MUSIC IS ON POINT AND KEEPS YOU IN A GREAT MOOD. The food is delicious !!! We have literally tried almost everything on the menu twice!! The bartenders are great they dance with us, joked around with us and even bought us a couple rounds of shots… the drinks we ordered were so strong and so good who can really complain and those prices?! OMG they are very cheap compared to other spots me and my friends have gone… I appreciate these bartenders because they are attentive to our needs..they really take great care of us… Their security guards are also a pleasure and make us feel comfortable and if there was ever any issue they always found a way to help us and if there was ever something they couldn’t help us with the managers are always close by to help make it better . we love that we don’t have to wait a while on anything not even a pool table.

We have definitely made Styx our go to spot. personally not myself or my friends have ever experienced anything bad about Styx. it’s always a fun positive place to go and relax after a long day. This bar is incredible!! The owners should be very very proud of Their employees they are wonderfully respectful and incredibly responsible bunch….

The food is 90% on point. The issue I have isthe consistency. I just called for a delivery order, I'm less than 10 min away and all of a sudden they don't deliver until after 5! I've never had this experience with this restaurant before. Sure it takes them 45 to an hour and 15min to delivery an order that is less than 10 min but they never denied me delivery. Then the guy who sneered the phone hung up on me... not evening waiting to see if i wanted to place a carry out order. I called him back, the only thing their menu states about deliveries is if you live in the adventura or sunny isle area deliveries are from 8pm-2am(mind you Judy got this menu from the restaurant on Thursday of this week). .
