Hong Kong Chinese — Restaurant in North Miami

Yuk! Walk in and the first thing you'll notice is a strong wet mildew smell and that you'r the only customer in the restaurant. The AC did not seem to cool the place enough so I found a seat under a dirty vent. Then she brings a glass of water and after a couple of minutes I notice a black bug on top of the floating ice. I did not drink any water and was not about to ask for a replacement. They took forever to cook the food so I though, must be fresh! I even dozed off for a while. The host/waitress was in the kitchen as another customer walks in and asks, is this place open, I was tempted to tell them about my glass of water, luckily they ordered cans of Coke. My generals chow's chicken finally comes out and big disappointment. Sauce is different, really dark, really thick and drowning everything inside it. I ate one broccoli and realized I probably should not have done that. I could not finish my plate in disgust. I paid left and will never return. Do not let that odd smell scare you away, their food is worthy. I was very sceptical, the smell that hits you when you walk in makes you wanna run for the hills. My man on the other hand remained me to trust him, and I was very pleased that I listened this time.

Not only are their egg rolls to die for, their special lo mein is finger licking good as their pork fried rice.

The only thing I didnt fancy was the BBQ ribs, didnt have enough meat and werent as saucey as I would have liked.
