The place was clean and busy. My group and I were sat quickly and the chip lady came quick and gave us chips and salsa. The experience started off great. The big speed bump was when we were given Lalo as our server. This was only after one of my companions flagged down another employee to ask for a server so we could order drinks. This guy was affable enough when he gave us attention. Yet, the moment he left our table he forgot what we requested and that we even existed. We put in a request for queso and then waited. We had to wait around 5 to 7 minutes to see him again and asked where the queso was. He said he forgotten it then within 25 seconds returned with exactly what was requested. By then most all the chips had been eaten and again we waited for someone to notice our table to ask for a refill. That started the bad taste. I had to speak with the manager about not getting serviced. Once I got back to the table the side dishes for our orders came for the entire table. No mains. It was followed up by a little over 4 minutes that main courses came. Extremely weird way to give folks their food. Not how GR does things. After that Lalo was almost completely non existent. We had to get his attention everytime we wanted anything. I wouldn't recommend this place. The food was passable and combine that with the insane service and way the food was delivered make it a place to not go to. Did I mention we were sat in the middle of the main dining room 🤔 and still...

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I went twice in two days- once when it was decently busy and once when it was jam-packed. Both times, I was seated quickly and chips and salsa were brought out moments after sitting down. Both salsas given were fresh tasting with hints of cilantro. But word to the wise- make sure you get your drinks before trying the hot salsa. It is HOT! They have a nice variety of food and their prices are very reasonable. I liked how their menu had a section describing "what is what". For those who aren't familiar that can be very helpful! Portions are decent. The food was brought out quickly on our first visit, but one the second visit when the kitchen was swamped our wait was quite long. As with any restaurant, the best quality and service will be on off-peak hours. I was amazed and entertained by how hard the staff members worked. Every employee in the building was in high gear while it was busy. While busting their butts they kept smiles on their faces and treated customers well. Very respectable place! My only complaint is the lack of sufficient air flow in the building. Both days we visited it was in the high 90's outside- combine that with a full house of people and a hot kitchen and it made for a sweaty visit. But still very worth it!...

Ww dined here our last night in Myrtle Beach, SC and wished we had discovered it earlier in the week.

The seevice was excellent, as was the food. The atmosphere was very nice and carried a Mexican vibe. One table had a birthday celebration where the servers doned a huge sombrero on the birthday person and gave a hearty rendition of Happy Birthday. I have never seen a better birthday celebration with that much enthusiasm by employees before.

We were served our drinks and chips and salsa to munch on while waiting on our order. We got two bottles of salsa. One was so mild it tasted like tomato sauce and the other one was super hot. I mixed the two for a nice alternative.

The food was outstanding. I ordered a combo plate with a beef enchilada, cheese enchilada, Mexican rice and beans. I ate all of it!

My husband ordered the Hawaiian fajitas which came piled high on a hot platter. It looked delicious which he confirmed. This dish had beef, chicken and shrimp along with the normal onions, bell pepper, pineapple with lettuce, tomato and guacamole on the side. Needless to say, he needed a to go box!

The one disappointment was the margarita. I ordered a frozen Rita and it tased like it had NO tequila at all in it.

Overall, food and servive was fantastic....

this is a WONDERFUL restaurant. so clean, so attentive with service. refilled drinks before i even noticed. they bring out your choice of mild or hot or both at the beginning. the flavor is balanced, no flavor too strong (you know how some salsas are super onion-ey, garlic-y etc? this is not one of them) & you have a full carafe so you don’t have to feel anxious about asking for more (though if you need it they’re super sweet lol). my husband let me pick a random thing for him to try & he got the chicken mole and ate his entire plate before I had a chance to blink he said it was so good haha if you are worried about a place being clean, fear not! if you’re worried about bland Americanized Mexican food (though I can’t vouch for it’s authenticity so don’t come for me), fear not!!! the flavors were spot on. this place was so good I felt it needed to come rant in a review to strangers. this is the place to go if you’re on vacay and want to steer clear of tourist traps but also have some good seafood options if you want it too. HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS ARE NOT CORRECT. We went for happy hour at this location. Their website (as linked here in google maps) has a listing of happy hour specials, including Saturday. ** Note: this was a Saturday, 4pm, bar was empty. I say this because I understand rush times. When we ordered margaritas, the waiter adamantly argues against us that the specials were Monday-Friday. He even went so far as to drag the free standing sign from the front of the restaurant, to our table, to point to it showing the hand written “mon-fri”. We then showed him their website, to which he argued “that’s for our other location”.... we showed him that it specifies both location on the site. He stormed off to see if his manager would allow it. Finally coming back to say “for now we will allow it”. We were there for happy hour drinks and apps, we saw the waiter maybe once every 40 minutes. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. Plenty of other Mexican options.
