UPDATE: After several negative posts, and several days having passed, there is ZERO response from the business management. No explanation. No apologies. No NOTHING. To me, that solidifies the total disregard for customer service. I was a small business owner for 30+ years. At times, negative occurrences unfortunately DO happen, but as a business you address them, not just ignore them.
We will be certain to inform ALL of our friends about about our experience and the management's non-response.
Well, my FIRST review never posted, so I'm trying again. The Christmas buffet was MOST disappointing. We had a reservation for 5:30 pm, but had to still wait in line for 20 minutes to get seated. When seated, took 15 minutes for a waiter to appear and inform us to proceed to go to the buffet. There we found about 15 people in front of us. The garden salad was on a platter that contained enough salad for two people. It was empty as were numerous other items. Food items were strewn about the table cloth with no one in sight to clean up such. During our entire time there, the buffet area was never cleaned up.
Most of the hot items were available. Salmon was dry and overcooked. First piece of Teriyaki Chicken was moist, tender and flavorful. Second helping was dry and overcooked. No prime rib was available. "All gone. Come back in 10 minutes," stated the gentlemen who spoke little English. Returning in 20 minutes, I was provided the only remaining bit of end cut which was way overcooked, dry, tough and inedible.
Tried to rescue the meal with a slice of the cheesecake, but by that time, I was told it was "all out."
This was our first time there and the experience was horrible. For $55 per person, it was unconscionable that a restaurant would charge such for what was provided. We went there because of a multitude of positive reviews. That said, I believe the staff was simply unprepared and overwhelmed, both in the back and front of the house. Will we give it a second try? No. The lack of planning and total inability to provide the resemblance of a dinner buffet was simply not acceptable. This coupled with a plethora of quality restaurants in the MB area will unfortunately not have us returning. Sorry Carolina Seafood and Steak. You guys really missed the mark on this one. Hopefully it was a learning...
Read moreVisited here with my family (party of 12). The Caesar salads were tasteless. I had ribs, mashed potatoes, and vegetable medley. My ribs were dry, the vegetables tasted like they were boiled and put on the plate with some pepper on top, and the mashed potatoes tasted like water as well. I tasted the meat from one of the ribs and couldn’t eat the rest. Because our server was busy and never asked how things were, I tried to send the meal back towards the end, everything still as it came out, and the manager— female with bob length hair- came out and proceeded to fuss with me over sending the meal back. It was extremely Unprofessional. She acted and insinuated as if I ate all my food then tried to send it back, including the salad even though the full salad was sitting on the table as well. She was very condescending and degrading in her speech towards me. It was a very unfortunate situation and I pray no one else has to experience that.
The fettuccine Alfredo was completely bland as well... no taste whatsoever but my daughter hasn’t developed taste buds yet so she ate some of them. My husband also had ribs and French fries. He said the best thing on his plate was the fries.
My sister had the king crab legs and Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese tasted like boiled noodles. Water was the flavor because it definitely wasn’t cheese.
My other sister had the pork chop with potatoes and veggies.. needless to say that her plate was still mostly full as well. The pork chop was extremely sweet being covered with apples or pineapples!
The cheese bread appetizer was good and the server was ok. It was jam packed when we got there and we were almost the last ones to leave so that tells you how long we waited for everything—forever.
So, if you like bland food, a manager that fusses with you over said bland food, and a good long wait to top it off, this is the place to be! These prices are way too high for tasteless food!
Oh, and I did go back to tip my server what she would have gotten had my food been included in the check because I was a server once and I know the...
Read moreFor the price, the food ordered: a ribeye, and prime rib was not cooked correctly. Unfortunately, they first served two steaks when prime rib had been ordered. The food was flavored nicely, just not what was requested. As the wait for the correct food to come out was long, I opted to eat what I could of my steak there and just correct it at home. The wait staff cleaned a table off of a larger party of 6, only to leave everything they wiped off of the table onto the floor. Had to dodge trash, and food crumbs for the rest of the evening. The bathroom was really nicely kept. Very clean and plenty of soap, etc. to maintain cleanliness. Caution for wheelchair users. There isn't a lot of room to navigate. The staff was nice and friendly, but as we were seated in the darkened corner, we were forgotten most of the evening for drinks. I usually drink water, so not looking for 20 refills on a soda. Just at least a couple refills of water between the salad and entrée. The atmosphere has been updated with led, multicolored trees. It brings a certain uniqueness to the establishment. One Must watch their step when traversing across the restaurant! A few steps initially to go up into the main portion of the dining area, and different raised portions to navigate. Not really wheelchair accessible in the main dining area. Patrons using canes should also take great caution during dining hours as the floors are harder to navigate with such low lighting. There was live music, and it was good. The music choice afterwards, playing from the speakers, after the live music concluded felt more like a bar with no seated service than a semi-formal restaurant. There are complimentary photos offered as well. Politely declined, but I'm sure the service would be nice for a traveling family to capture an evening out on vacation. Or, anyone out for a fun evening. Parking is plenty, but the location requires crossing 17 if headed north, so be mindful and careful entering into the parking lot. Overall, I'd pick a different spot to dine for vacationing guests. This isn't the best choice, but it...
