When they first opened they were fantastic with fantastic service. Unfortunately the last several times we have been there have been a very poor experience. If you go within a hour of closing they are "out of blast" which I'm curious if it is just code for "we already cleaned the machine". And when they do have blasts they are more like soup. Often the employees seem to treat it like more of hang out session than a job. Today when we tried to order the person who was taking the order kept saying "what was that?" because it sounded like there was party going on behind him (yelling and music) and he was having a hard time hearing us. We were the only car in line and when we pulled up it took awhile to get our ice cream, when he handed us our order another girl came up to him and said something quietly and they both laughed, he handed us our order and when we drove away the girl shouted something loudly at us and they both started laughing (I could not tell what she said because she was laughing). I'm all for fun in the workplace and hiring teens because we all start somewhere but this is just very unprofessional and rude. If the staff is not mature enough to treat their customers with respect and understand they are there to do a job then they should not be employed. I feel like their mother but seriously "I'm not mad, I'm just very disappointed" because we could walk to Brusters but I think being shouted and laughed at is my final straw. I'll be driving down the road to DQ or East...
Read moreYou know that moment when you visit a place everyone praises for its ice cream, and you can’t help but wonder if these folks know what truly great ice cream tastes like, or if they’re just used to mediocrity? I took my grandkids out for a treat, hoping to enjoy a delicious milkshake, but what I got was far from satisfying.
The milkshake was so watered down that it barely resembled what a milkshake should be; it felt more like a glass of milk than a creamy, indulgent treat. Disappointment washed over me as I took a sip and could easily identify the taste of plain milk rather than any rich and flavorful blend.
In an attempt to resolve the situation, I approached one of the gentlemen working there to inquire if this was the standard way they made their milkshakes. He confirmed that this was indeed their usual method. I then politely requested if he could remake it, hoping for a better experience, but he declined my request.
Frustrated, I asked for a refund, feeling that this was a matter of basic customer service. It seems like they started to feel a bit too confident in their fame, neglecting the quality that brought people in the first place. If they continue making milkshakes like the one I received today, I fear more customers will turn to other options.
So here’s a warning: if you’re craving a milkshake, it might be best to head over to...
Read moreI absolutely have loved what I have had! I was very excited to try somewhere new and the ice cream honestly exceeded my expectations, especially with having experiences at many different ice cream shops all over. I had the smores and it was honestly probably the best smores ice cream I've had ANYWHERE. I am also a huge banana fan, along with my sibling I went with, who got the banana pudding flavor, which I had some of also, UNTIL now I always would say Mitchell's has the best banana cream pie ice cream, I will never be able to go to Mitchell's and have their banana flavor and be satisfied again after trying Brusters! I see some people saying the size was small which I was confused by bc I was more than satisfied with the size for the amount of money it was, I actually couldn't finish it (which never happens) and that was with just a regular size and decided I am going to just have to get a small from now on. They were very helpful and able to answer my questions since there is an overwhelming amount of choices and I can be a bit indecisive. I cant wait to go back and explore what else...
