EDIT 11-22-24: After 7 months, thought we would try this Dairy Queen again. My wife ordered chicken strips and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Cheeseburger had limp, slimy, fatty bacon and the sauces/toppings were so liberally applied the burger was not edible. I went to counter, asked for a cheeseburger and the cashier didn't seem to understand why I wanted fresh fries: I'm not going to eat cold fries with a fresh burger.. Anyhow, they gave me the difference of a buck and change, I left nearly 15 minutes later, unserved, hungry, having paid for my meal I never was able to eat Instead of trying to deal with the staff further for a refund, I just left. You can have the money. I'll never come back. Wife's chicken was overcooked to the point she only ate half, by the way.
We just wanted to buy lunch. Why is it so difficult?
EDIT 4-29-24: HOW DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE. HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE COMMUNITY YOU CLAIM TO BE PART OF. I had $19 in cash and also a $50. My drive thru order came up to $22 and change. Employee and manager outright REFUSED to take the $50, saying they are no longer allowed to take them. It was a busy day, they had the cash for change. Apparently they can't trust their employees to determine if currency is real or fake. Instead of being decent and, for instance, applying a discount so my $19 was sufficient, they permanently lost a customer and had to throw the food away. Horrible. What a way to destroy your business.
Previous review: Food here is always consistent and that's rare in North Platte. Fresh ingredients, nothing just mushes together like MD. Super friendly, smiling staff! One of our...
Read moreWe went on a 90 minute break between games (softball tournament) We waited in line for awhile, ordered 3 meals, paid and sat down. 7 minutes later they brought out 1 blizzard. 20 minutes after paying, we asked them if our food was coming. 25 minutes in, we asked again and they said it had just gotten finished. We asked them to make it to go as we were pushing it on time. At 30 minutes, I asked them if I could bag it myself as the girl seemed to have been struggling with closing a single box for several minutes. One girl kept saying it wasn't her job to help us. (The ready food was still not given to us) We finally asked for our money back as we now had no time to eat our food. That process took 5 minutes. We spent an hour inside and never got our food. My husband is diabetic and had already taken his pre meal insulin... Pretty dangerous when your "fast" food never shows up. The manager okaying our refund didn't even apologize. She simply looked irritated over having to give us...
Read moreRolled up to the drive-thru 30 minutes before closing—huge rookie error! Ordered a burger, only to hear the kitchen was already scrubbed down and tucked in for the night, but they’d grudgingly fire up the grill like they were granting us a royal decree from The Dairy Queen herself. At the window, the staff dodged eye contact like we were Medusa’s cousins, irritated and aloof, acting like we’d crashed their sacred fry-fortress. Their behavior was so petulant we tossed the food—cold, soggy fries and all—afraid they might've added an “extra ingredient.” Didn’t trust it, didn’t eat it. Second time this happened here—fool me twice,...
