Dave's Place & Lounge — Restaurant in North Platte

The food is perfect. The chicken strips were tender and hot w a lovely crisp layer of batter. The poppers were pop perfect and gooing with cheddar. The calimari again just right with the righteous length and thickness. And the loaded tots were a big win. The beer and soda was a little flat. I gotta say. But the bartender/ server Jess really made the whole experience. The golden ticket for the night. 7 or 8 tvs playing multiple games and lots of old skull arcade games to throw money at. Naturally I got the high score on Mrs. Pacman. Even thou it had been like 8yrs minimum since I played. And we are still here playing bollards pool for a buck a game. Thanks Nebraska for showing the Cali folks you can hang just like us.. only thing I can say in a improvement fashion is. One of the waitresses maybe even the owner could use a moral boost. Then maybe there would be more patrons to fill the house. And you could try budging on the substitutes maybe a little. Update: The new location is awesome. You can tell a lot of work and care was spent converting the space. It feels fresh and there are plenty of subtle call outs to the original. PLUS: The same great menu! Still, hands down, the best wings in town. One of my favorite places in North Platte. They have several great servers, but Marcia is so amazing-a gem. They have the best wings in town- recommend the Buffalo (medium). The name sounds average, but this sauce is shipped in from Buffalo, NY. Pro tip: order extra saucy. Ordered a Swiss mushroom burger. The Swiss was processed cheese, like the kind you unwrap from a piece of plastic, and not real cheese. The mushrooms came out of a can. The fries tasted like the oil in the fryer hadn't been changed in a long, long time.

I didn't have wings or pizza, but the prices for both are absolutely ridiculous. $10 for 6 wings? $27 for a large pizza? Lol, give me a break.
