I dont know if folks in Nebraska have never had really good Mexican food and just don’t know better (referring to reviews) but we are from Texas and were in North Platte for Rail Days and looking for some good Mexican food so we searched Google for choices and reviews and chose 3 Margaritas based on what people posted. Was between that and San Pedro. Those 2 seemed to have the best reviews. Most Mexican places give you complimentary tortillas but there you had to pay 2.50 for them. Spent $58 for 3 people. Two enchilada dinners and nachos plus 3 teas and two orders of tortillas. Food was like a frozen Mexican tv dinner. Refried beans were gross. Took few minutes to slap it on plate and get to table. Obviously pre-prepared. Enchiladas were tolerable but it was more like a tortilla with gluey cheese in it. Salsa was gross. Husband had nachos he said they were not good either. When you’re not from an area you’re taking chances going to a place you don’t know but I guess all these people leaving reviews have never had good Mexican food either that or our standards are too high. Don’t waste your time or money, especially money. If you’re here from out of town go to Walmart...
Read moreDisappointed in the service. My company placed a large catering order and a dressing was forgotten. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. It was a $15.95 shrimp salad, and the dressing is definitely an important ingredient. I called and politely asked them to bring some (5 minutes drive), and they wouldn’t. We were having a work event, so leaving was inconvenient, but I didn’t want to waste a salad and decided to drive there. The bartender who helped me seemed annoyed that I even called about the dressing, let alone came to the restaurant to get it. He was very rude and not once apologized for the mistake or the inconvenience. I wasn’t even upset about the missing dressing until I was treated so rudely by the employee. After I returned to work, turns out at least 2 meals were missing and multiple items...
Read moreFor the ridiculous price there's definitely better food and service in town. Food is decent if you don't mind really greasy Mexican food. The server made me feel like asking for lemon for my water was the biggest deal, he even rolled his eyes at me even though when we ordered drinks I specifically asked for water with a lemon. Then I asked for my soup to be boxed up when we were done and they threw it away and then charged me for a full order when I asked for a half order and was given a half order. The lady that seated us was great and the manager tried but his servers and cook failed him. Also the "upgraded" my husband's meal without asking so it took it from a $12 plate to a $20 plate. Then refused to do anything about it. $50 later I guess my husband has left overs. I used to...
