Tacos Tu Chilito — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

Thought I'd give this place a try since it's just a couple of minutes from my job and I've been looking for a good taco place nearby. I ordered the asada gordita and chicken tacos to go. Both were very good. Gordita had a nice crunch to it but still pliable. Nothing was lacking, the asada and chicken were very well prepared ( meaning the meat was trimmed and cooked perfectly) and tasted fresh and well seasoned. The gordita was satisfying, I've had some at other places that were lacking salt but this one was perfect. Nice amount of toppings without being over powered by too much lettuce. Be careful with the Habanero salsa, it's really good but really spicy which is exactly what I was looking for! Prices were reasonable. Service was impeccable! The lady at the front counter (I should have gotten her name) was very nice and polite. I was looking for some good food and I can say that I found it here, no complaints. The whole family is incredibly sweet. You can tell they genuinely care—not just about the food, but about the people they serve. Every time I walk in, I leave with a full stomach and a brighter day. There’s a warmth here that no chain restaurant can replicate.

What would you have expected from a food place inside a gas station?

This spot is incredible! I never knew this place was here until I searched on Google Maps. I decided to give it a try and I was thoroughly satisfied and impressed. I ordered a taco plate with carnitas and it was very filling and very delicious. Shout-out to the entire crew working there because they were extremely kind, patient, and respectful (of course, I had to give my best back)! Extremely good portions for the price, extremely well seasoned tacos, beans, and rice! I was also surprised at their addition of grilled onions, half of a very large grilled jalapeno, and some lime slices.

And guess what? It was only $12.50. I definitely will be coming back...
