The Hideout — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

I've been here several times, and each time it's a toss up. I'd already left a negative review but still rated 4 stars, but now I'm seeing that there is a problem with staffing here. Last time it was a girl who spent the night drinking with her friends at the end of the bar who ruined the night for us as we waited for service as the bartender drank with her friends and was obviously bothered by us being there waiting for service. About a year later we come here again and there's a new bar tender with blue hair who just about completely ignores our presence as she is at the end of the bar talking with her friends just like the previous one. When she finally looked over I raised up my hand to grab her attention since our Uber driver was 1 minute away and we'd been waiting for her to address us for several minutes. She sees me raise my hand and she rolls her eyes while turning towards her friends. She begins to talk with her hands to her friends and then mimics me raising my hand to grab her attention. I wouldn't have had to wave her down if she would have addressed me when she was standing right in front of me. But she was obviously irritated that I would have the gull to want some service. All I wanted was my tab to get to my uber driver who had now been waiting out there a few minutes. I've given this place enough tries. This is only a good place to go if you know the staff. If you don't, be prepared to be treated like you are bothering their hang...

Best bartenders, yeah right. I was the DD the night my husband and I went with a few friends. My husband asked me to check the tab and the bartender tried sneaking in a 200.00 tip. My husband was not all the way there being intoxicated but the bartender tried adding on a 175.00 tip after our 25.00 tip. When I asked for a reciept of what he wrote to double check the bartender refused to show the one he just signed. I wrote a 25.00 tip.. Then he wouldnt give my husbands card back and acted like he never handed it to him. Even though I was standing there and watched him.

I will never return here because of the bartender. It was a great place but to know they take advantage of drinkers is enough to lose my business. As the DD I found this highly unprofessional and will contact the BBB first thing Monday morning and see what I can do as a lawyer for my husband. I have also contacted my bank and cancelled his card and filed a report with the police. Be weary of this place. There are very few people here and that is for a reason.

This is such a short story with very little detail but please take my warning and avoid this place. We are two very successful people and raise a small family. We NEVER go out and this was undoubtly the worst...

The drinks are solid, and if you're a fan of Reposado Tequila like we are, be prepared to clean them out—we almost always do. Another huge plus?
