First and foremost, we enjoyed our experience here. Would we return? Probably not--the prices are expensive, and we didn't like the environment of the place when we were there. Do we regret coming here to eat? No, some of the foods were tasty, and their customer service was great.
Environment: We didn't necessarily like the environment. The place was dark, and it mainly had a huge bar. When we exited the place, there was a guy who seemed as though his purpose there was to hook up. It gave us such an odd vibe.
Price: For the amount of food we had, we found it quite expensive. For instance, we were expecting two pieces of sushi per order of nigiri, but we only received one piece of sushi per order. As for the rolls, the prices were mediocre to expensive due to the number of pieces you receive per roll.
Customer Service: For the little time we were there to pick up our order, the customer service was great. Not only are the servers kind, but the customers were also fairly nice.
Food: The nigiri tasted great. There were some better than others, such as either the escolar or flounder (maybe). The rolls were decent, not amazing, not bad. They were pretty soggy by the time I ate it. The salmon ceviche was well-made and presented prettily.
Location: Even though it was my first time trying this place out, it wasn't my first time noticing this place. Every time I drive by on Interstate 820, I see Sushi Axiom's sign, so great advertisement there. The building also looks nice.
Parking: Parking was terrible. There weren't enough parking spots on a Friday night.
Even though Sushi Axiom was quite expensive, some of their nigiri tasted great. A plus is that this place is located off of I-820. They also have other locations scattered around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex if you are wanting to try...
Read moreLet me start off with the short list of good things. The restaurant is nice and clean and what did you GET as long as it’s served to you within a couple hours is good. I have never put out a negative review, especially of a restaurant that is reeling from COVID-19 times, but the whole experience was a snowball effect from the beginning.
My wife and I arrived on a Thursday evening the day after Governor Abbott lifted the requirements to stage 3 and the restaurant when we ARRIVED was pretty empty at 6:30. We reviewed the menu and ordered at about 6:45. We started receiving our appetizers and sake pretty quickly, but that is where the service ended. At about 7:20 we finally received word that the order for our two specialty sushi rolls had been lost. We understood because thing do happen and we were enjoying some time just talking. About 20 minutes later, the waitress came back to apologize again that it was taking so long. At this point we were starting to get a little annoyed that they lost our order the first time they should have put the replacement order at the front of the orders. REALLY, WE’RE TAKING ABOUT SUSHI. Raw fish that doesn’t need to be cooked!! And there were 4 chefs making sushi behind the counter. But ok, please just get us our order soon. By 8:05 I had enough as all of the other tables had people come and gone with other customers with larger orders getting theirs. I got the waitress again, and again she was apologetic about the wait....... a little suggestion that the food industry has been doing for generations..... of you screw up, one word.... COMP!!!! Nothing, I just stated we are done and tired of waiting for our 1-1/2 hour sushi plates..... I received a bill for the whole thing!!! I finally found the manager and he gave me my money back..... Never again will I visit Sushi Axiom. There are many other restaurants that are pushing to get their clientele back after...
Read moreRude customer service. I called and bordered 3 combination yaki udons. She Told me twenty minutes I get there. I got there in 25 min. It’s not even ready. So I waited ten more mins. I ask for 3 yum yum sauce to go with my order before my food was brought out. She finally brings my food and tell me my total is $48 and some change but she still have to add the 3 yum yum sauces. All I’m thinking is I literally just waited an additional 10 min for food I called in 20 min ago. But I don’t say nothing. I just say ok no problem. She charges me $1.50 (.50 each) I get to my car and see I only got 1. I got back and say hey I paid for 3 I need two more. She proceeds to say all 3 are in the one container. I’m like why would you do that. I never said I need them in the same container this is for 3 different ppl and I will bring it back. I need three. She says “yea go ahead and bring it”. (Rude). So I do. She takes that same container and splits it across three without makin sure they are full. My sauces are not even half way full. I watched her the whole time. So I show her and tell her. Where’s my receipt so I can take my tip back for your horrible customer service. And showed her how these small containers not even half way full and I’m not even bout to go back and forth with u about ur horrible customer service. I’ll just take my tip back. Now she want to look all crazy. Only gave me utensils for two when I clearly bought 3‼️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ I’m not spending $50 bucks for her trash customer service. Nor am I into makin a scene so I’ll do what’s best for the both of us and drop this review right here. I won’t be back! I don’t play about my time my money nor customer service. Do better‼️ here’s the pic...
