i have eaten at the 3 spot four times. each time i had a similar experience - friendly staff, good food, and low prices.
i mostly ate burgers, with the exception of the country chicken special. the burgers were good bar food, and the country chicken was great comfort food. on an early occasion, a common condiment was not available (honey mustard or something), and the cook did not pour gravy on the mashed potatoes, which i would have appreciated. the mashed potatoes were still good, very buttery. the boneyard's (broadview heights) burgers taste like they have better quality ingredients, but are more expensive at $10+. all 3 spot items were well-priced at $7-9, beating other local places like mario's (north royalton) and the boneyard. the menu is enormous, with many different kinds of burgers and hot dogs, as well as entrees.
the craft beer on tap was great every time. 3 spot has local favorites fat heads and great lakes, as well as breweries like three floyds and rhinegeist. most recently, i had the red setter red ale (thirsty dog) and bean me up coffee stout (fat heads). both tasted better than bottled beer, and added a lot of enjoyment to the experience. i appreciated 3 spot taking a risk with bean me up, as it has a strong flavor similar to a bold black coffee. it is a beer that will be more appealing to beer enthusiasts than the general public. the bartender insisted that i taste first, and i really enjoyed it. there are twelve draft beers on tap, including import, craft, and domestic.
conversations dominate the environment without being loud or invasive. the music is meant to be in the background, so if you are looking to bang your head with a beer, it will be tough. rock, pop, and country are all good choices for the touchtunes jukebox. there are also some sports-related games, and sports-themed tv on the flat screens. the whole restaurant is clean, but still feels like a fun sports bar.
the staff have always been friendly and courteous. the food has always arrived a little sooner than expected (which is good) for a restaurant.
the other patrons are generally polite. many people are there with their children. barflies usually come in pairs. the restaurant has been lively every time i have gone.
the 3 spot is great for good food, a fun atmosphere, friendly people,...
Read moreHubby and I stopped in for dinner this evening. We shared with our server that it was in fact our first visit. She was very engaging and helpful while answering all of our menu related questions. She most likely informed the owner that we were first timers as she came to our table to introduce herself, welcome us and ensure that we were pleased with everything.
.... And delighted we were !! Hubby ordered steak kabobs which came with soup or salad and a side. The flavor was amazing on the kabobs and cooked to perfection.
I finally decided on the Cajun burger (there are so many appealing choices this was a tough decision) also cooked perfectly to my specifications. And the flavor ... WOW... You know that distinct taste of a burger cooked over an open flame. I ordered a side of ranch to accompany my fries and burger because that is what I do. I was ecstatic to discover that the ranch was made in house and not store bought. ( I’m very picky about my ranch) If if you are a fan of deep fried breaded mushrooms do not hesitate to order them !! They too are freshly made in house and large is size.
In addition to the exciting menu options and the wonderful service you are not going to beat the prices and portions they offer.
We will most definitely...
Read moreWe found Mastro’s prior to the pandemic and it’s been one of our favorite places to go in North Royalton ever since. It has a great neighborhood feel, and we frequently see our neighbors and friends there.
Among our favorite things is the boneless wings, which have a great amount of chicken to the breading ratio. They’re really juicy and well fried, and they have a ton of great sauces. Some of our favorites include the hot, mango habanero, and the sweet barbecue. Sides of blue cheese are extra, but the portion is a good size for even 12 wings. The regular wings are equally awesome if you’re not feeling boneless!
We also almost always get a Three Spot tots. Amazingly golden brown, covered in ooey gooey cheese, and sprinkled with bacon - they’re delicious and great to watch the game with. Which is easy to do on the huge number of TVs as well.
If you’re feeling thirsty, they have a substantial draft selection the rotates with the seasons, is made up of local craft beers, and are really reasonably priced.
While the changing cost of everything has forced them to raise some of their prices, they’re still really reasonable for the quantity of food you get. Despite this, we love 3 spot and are happy they’re so close by and easy to...
