Les Cafe Pancake House — Restaurant in North Township

My boyfriend and I decided to find a new breakfast spot and found this place with a great rating. Our waitress was "meh" at best and aggressive at worst. She tried to refill my boyfriend's coffee mug even though it was one the other side of the table. The logical thing would be to ask for the cup, but not her! She came to the table and, without saying anything, began reaching over with the hot coffee pot in hand in an attempt to refill the mug. She couldn't reach and would have likely spilled hot coffee over my boyfriend. My boyfriend moved his mug to a more suitable position for her. It all happened so fast that we were slow to react to this bizarre and unsafe behavior. The rest of the encounters with her were the same type of aggression and attitude. Setting down the check when we're less than half way through the meal. Bringing me a to-go box that I didn't ask for just because she didn't want to come back to the table (the idea I would want to take any of the food home is comical, but hold off on that for a second).

Anyway, fast forward to the food. I was starving this morning and love a good breakfast meal, but the food didn't even look appetizing when it came. I ordered steak and eggs with my steak medium. It came well done with the saddest sad of eggs I've seen. The hash browns looked like a beige mess. The pancakes were definitely an off-brand mix from a box, and there was actually a big clump of unmixed dough in the middle of a pancake. Everything was edible, but that's as nice as I can be.

I don't understand how this place has such positive reviews and was actually packed the day we went. There are literally dozen of other breakfast places in the area and this is the bottom of the list. Horrible food and...

The reason for my 1 star rating was because it is not allowing me to leave a 0 rating. .Today when ordering my simple meal I asked for it to be prepared apart from meat and any utensils that came in contact with meat the waitress said that wasn’t a problem and she would let the cook know, so time when on and I waited for my food, which took a long time and to my surprise my vegetarian meal request had pork in it. I explained to the waitress my issue and she said well I didn’t tell the cook to cook it apart from meat because it was “to much going on” in the kitchen. She was very rude and inconsiderate when it came to my preference on the way I like to eat. The OWNER was very unhelpful I tried to explain my concerns to her, she wasn’t listening so I had to keep explain to her what happen in a way she could understand. The owner wasn’t at all apologetic about what happened in her place of business, she was only able to offer a refund for some of my order she said she was unable to accommodate me for the whole bill which was very careless to me because I don’t eat meat and I haven’t in years and these ladies were acting as if it wasn’t a big deal as long as they received payment for the foods we did eat. I pride myself on what I eat and it would help if companies didn’t tell lies just to make a sale. If you say you will be careful not to serve someone food that contains meat it would be respected if you stuck to that word, it could save a lot of time and trouble and then us that doesn’t consume animals won’t have this problem in the first. I wouldn’t go here ever again because here money is more important than quality. Not a good experience...

Visiting from NC and decided to try this place out, was the worst decision of my life, not sure how this place has so many good reviews. First and foremost, the service was alright, the ice tea was just water and the food was not it at all. Me and my friend decided to get the vegetarian skillets with French toast, the wait wasn’t too bad, the waitress wasn’t too bad either but the food we received was. Mind you we ordered the veggie skillets and still ended up with with random pieces of bacon in mine and my friend had a surprise piece of ham underneath the cheese and eggs, we can’t eat pork so that was an unpleasant surprise. We then asked for the waitress and she offered to remake it but we didn’t want to take another chance with their food so we then asked to not be charged since we didn’t even eat the food we didn’t ask for and she told us to wait until she brought over the manager, that older manager (not sure of her name) is very money hungry and just straight up greedy with her customers, she tried charging us $20 for 2 drinks and 2 orders of French toast that we didn’t even eat so I asked her why it was that much and she said she already reduced it from $50 and I just looked at her confused on where she got the price from, if you mess up an order don’t expect the customers to pay for something they didn’t eat, such a stupid idea, just money hungry and disgusting, never again will we go there and will make sure everyone I know never goes there. Maybe the good reviews are from all the old people that can’t taste or are blind because this is the only way I can see someone eating this food.
