Dante's House of Pizza — Restaurant in North Township

We ended up purchasing the pick 3 appetizer. For the price, we are very disappointed in how little food we actually got. We chose tater tots, pretzel bites, and jalapeno poppers. We literally received three jalapeno poppers, six pretzel bites which were no bigger than an inch long and an inch wide. We received about a handful of tater tots. The most of what we received was literally tater tots. It was also disappointing that the chicken wings that are offered, were Not something available for the pick 3.

When we first walked in, we were told that no booths were available. We ultimately opted for a high top table. Before we received our appetizer, there were three booths that did leave and get cleaned off. We had asked to move due to one of the family members having bad knee problems. The high chairs do not have a good resting place for your feet. So you literally are just hanging off the chair. This was causing the family member to have pain in their knee. Our server went and asked the manager, the manager told them no we could not move and that the tables that were being cleared off were already reserved. At this point in time, nobody had came in after us. It really wasn't busy. All of the booths were taken, and there were only two other high top tables taken. The high top tables were literally the worst idea that this restaurant had. They are not people friendly at all. Also because the high top tables are all throughout the middle, squeezed between the booths, you literally feel like you're sitting with the table next to you. We saw one reservation ticket be put on one table. Then we saw the manager escort their family in and sit them down at a table. How do we know that it was manager's family? Because the manager literally set at the table with them for about 20 minutes and enjoyed a beer.

By the time we received our pizza, about 40 minutes had passed. We never were switched to a booth and we decided to no longer ask to switch since every time we would ask we were told no. We had asked twice prior to our pizza actually being delivered. The pizza was greasy as hell. We had ordered half cheese and half sausage. The amount of grease that was on the pizza, I would expect to see from a pepperoni topping. We all ate a few pieces, it was okay tasting but honestly not the best in the area. I definitely am not going to be visiting back here...

I gave this restaurant a rating of 4 because of the wait staff service. The food I will give a three. For starters we had the Thai chicken wrap. Very simple yet delicious. It was enough for my husband and I to have two each. The sauce that was served with it had a little kick of heat. Delicious! We ordered a 5 topping pizza. It was decently priced considering all the places that we had compared prices with. I believe it came out to about 21 or $23. The ingredients were fresh and it was hot upon arrival. Had a nice flavor, my husband enjoyed the sauce; it had a slight sweetness to it. The server came and checked on us just enough because some servers overdo it some don't do it enough but he was just right! Kept our drinks filled all the time. The staff seem like they are family or know each other well. A little ghetto as far as talking out loud to each other from across the room, but it was a slow night. Very friendly and I wouldn't have changed a thing. By the way I am a deep dish lover and sadly this restaurant does not serve deep dish. But if you like stuffed crust or gluten-free, they can...

If it’s your first time here the place “Dante’s” pizza is also “Danny's”, which is the more prominent sign yet all the same place. Two host signs but actually just one host desk on the Danny’s side. I’m sure there is some reason for this but it seemed kind of silly. Ordered a sausage and onion pizza. The cheese and toppings were good quality but the pizza is disappointingly bland. The biggest offender that made me give the pizza 3 stars was the crust. The crust does nothing for this pizza other than create a platform to put ingredients on. The crust is rather dense, slightly thick and is bone dry with some bites…and has zero flavor. I’d go so far as to say it’s one of the worse tasting crusts I’ve ever had. The cheese and toppings were good quality so it was about a 3 star pizza for me. Of course pizza is like politics and everyone has an opinion. Definitely not slam dunk bad it’s not worth checking out….u may like it? I didn’t care...
