This restaurant is a TOTAL SCAM - it's outrageous that I even have to post this review.
Wednesday night I ordered takeout ($78 worth of food) only to get home with items missing and our order messed up! I contact the restaurant immediately to alert them to their mistake.
MOST restaurants, or real authentic businesses would take ownership of their mistake. NOT this place. In fact, the lady on the phone not only ignored me as I was talking (she was talking to other people) but refused to assist me by telling me there was nothing she could do.
We were without a sandwich, another sandwich was made incorrectly, and we received the wrong appetizer.
After numerous phone calls, since the lady kept hanging up on me, they eventually agreed to remake the part of the order that was missing and made wrong.
Someone was on the way to pick it up for us - since they wouldn't deliver the missing items to my house. However, upon arrival to pick up the remade items and missing item - they were told they had to PAY for it again! It was because we didn't return the food that was made wrong - and the food we were missing!!!!
How can you return missing food???
Obviously this sent the entire transaction into a downward spiral - since after asking for a Manager several times and told they were NOT in at the time, the phone was passed to one of the line cooks who impersonated the Manager. (how convenient the manager wasn't in, but he just showed up in a matter of seconds!)
The "real" manager called me back later - only to argue with me on the phone because I wouldn't bring our order back so they could exchange it for the correct order. This "manager" gave me the number of who he says was the "owner", also someone who doesn't exist!
Eventually contacting this business via FB, I was assured the real owner would call me back.
The "real owner" did in fact call, promised me a refund, but then when trying to collect by meeting with them at the restaurant, they blocked my number and now the FB messaging conveniently doesn't work. They won't even answer my call because I'm sure they blocked my number at the restaurant as well.
WHO runs their business this way? WHY is this okay? $78 for food that wasn't correct and missing.

Read moreThis is for the new Kennedy Ave location. Why in the world during your opening first month would you put a young lady with no social skills on the register to deal with the public? The dismissive attitude that she had on display is a reflection of the kind of service we can expect in the future. My wife and I came inn for the first time for this location and both ordered the same think but I ordered mozzarella cheese on my Philly instead of the cheese wiz. I was charged extra for the change in the selection of cheese. We drive back home and sit down to eat just to find that my sandwich had absolutely nothing on it but bread and meat. They did put the onions on the side like I asked. They didn’t even put the wrong cheese on it but they didn’t put the cheese that they charged me extra for either. After getting dressed, driving back to the restaurant, standing in line and explaining that my order was wrong. She tried to minimize the error by asking “was it just missing cheese”. She did this with the worst attitude and the whole time she never said sorry for the messed up order nor for me having me to drive back up there to get the order done right. That’s when I wanted my money back. She told the guy that I wanted my money back because my sandwich was missing cheese. I want you guys to know that I would have just let them remade my sandwich but because of her poor attitude and lack of social skills while dealing with the public the company didn’t deserve my money. I’ve never got this service at the location on Calumet Ave..Your food is always good and made just like we order it. Mistake are made what we do is acknowledge it, fix it and move on with an apology for the mistake. You don’t act as if the customers is wrong for wanting their food made right. Read moreThis place started off really good my husband and I will usually order something and split it like Italian beef and A philly. And we've tried A few things because we were happy that there's A Chicago style restaurant near my moms (other than typical fast food places that we don't care for) At first the food was good and we thought we found A good new place to eat,. But I don't know what happened. The last few times we have ordered from here the service and quality has really declined. Our order has been wrong last 2 times. They had orginally got my order wrong and served me A chicken gyros. They did kindly replace my order but my gyros was so greasy it was dripping oil and I couldn't eat the bread. Our mushrooms were almost inedible because of greas. The Italian beef this time tasted like they accidentally poured way to much Italian seasoning. Just kinda disappointed. Hope they get their orginal cooks back. I hope this helps them because they are very nice friendly people.
