The food was relatively good, didn't knock your socks off, but decent. The bar was fun and the place is probably a good local venue. I would likely have a way better opinion if the server wasn't an absolute hag. She acted like she had a big chip on her shoulder. We had one of the jerkiest female servers I have ever had in all my years of dining. She was totally obnoxious and seemed annoyed and bothered from the moment she approached our table. We were with a group of 9 & having worked in the restaurant business for many years, understand that large groups can be a challenge. She seemed annoyed when we asked her to suggest apps and to describe them in more detail. Even tho I asked for 2 orders of nachos for the group, she tried to blow off my order and said she would come back when we decided. I repeated my request a 2nd time & said "I had decided" to order for the group, which she ignored. When she came back, she asked what we wanted for apps and I repeated that I had already asked her to order the nachos. No apologies, she acted like she was doing us a favor. I actually considered going to management and requesting someone else serve our table. Never before have I ever even contemplated making that kind of complaint when out for dinner. My friend asked what particular brand a wine was, the server said something to the effect of "does it really matter". She repeatedly call us all "dear" in a somewhat mocking manner. Just didn't get what her problem was. Very hard to figure out why someone in a customer service position can have such a bad attitude. She did "nice up" towards the end, but I guess her potential tip was the motivator. I own a business where customer service is so important. As a business owner, I would fire this server in a hot minute. Even if the ambience and food were outstanding, this server ruined the experience and with servers like this, the business will suffer.
Response to the owner: I apologize. I didn't realize that asking a server for menu suggestions was bad behavior. Within minutes of the server approaching our table, the other guests sitting near me had the same impression and were floored by the server's bad attitude. Clearly your response indicates that customer service is not important to you. If your server's feelings were hurt, they should be. She is definitely in the wrong profession. Shame on...
Read moreThis was my first time at Tex Mex. I brought my friend who was visiting from VA and a bunch of my friends met us. They were having an event for the boys and girls club called tiki night. All of us paid cover, ate and drank. Spent a lot of money. It started to rain a bit and it was an outdoor event so we decided to grab another drink inside to warm up. It was crowded but we were content being with each other. After awhile we finally got a spot at the bar. There were people crowding behind us and smoking vapes. The bartender Andrew started to reprimand my friend because she was pulling money out of her purse and pulled out her vape. He said you can’t vape in here. She said I didn’t it’s other people he said don’t lie to me! Now why did he attack my friend and not the other 5 men behind us holding vapes? Andrew was completely and totally out of line. We dropped it And when he came back he took our drink order and walked away before we could tell him the other drink. When he came back we asked for our other drink. He responded with can you tell me your whole order instead of making me come back and forth. This was just too much and way out of line! He left after the first order before we could even speak. I have been a bartender for many years. I understand being busy and under pressure but I have never responded to a paying guest like that. I was so upset because my friends were so upset and came because I invited them. So I proceeded to ask his name and he refused to tell me. So I had to ask another bartender his name. We spent our hard earned money at your establishment and we were kind and generous to your staff including Andrew. I just hope someone talks to him and maybe gives him a lesson in...
Read moreThis was the worst place I have gone to eat in quite some time. I do not recommend this place. The service was absolutly horrible. When we arrived we were told it would take fourty five minutes to seat us and we were seated in fifteen to twenty minutes which was good. Once we were seated the waitress took our drink order. After that the service was slower and slower. Once the waitress took our dinner order it took over an hour to get our food. We received no explanation as to why nor did the waitress come over and ask us if we wanted anything else. Then my wife complained that her food was too spicy after the waitress told her that the dish that she was ordering was not spicy. My wife took to spicy item off her plate and gave it back to waitress and told her that she would like that itme removed from the bill. The waitress was extremely rude and condescending. Once we recieved our bill we tried to get the bill changed since they didn't change it and my wife told the waitress to take the spicy item back since she could not eat it. Then the owner came over and asked us why we did want to pay our bill which was not the issue at all. The owner was very rude and unprofessional. Very upsetting. Do not go there as the food is very lousy and service is nonexistent and mangement...
