J's Steaks & Subs — Restaurant in Northampton

I don't often review unless really good or pretty bad. Cheese steak with onion and fries $15 - very dry. I actually brought it back because they had forgotten the cheese. No biggie. However, I was wrong...the manager dissected the sandwich and said look there's the cheese...smallest sliver at the bottom. I asked if he could add more but said couldn't with ruining sandwich. Did nothing to rectify situation just needed to prove he was right. Maybe he was technically correct but on that basis the worst cheesesteak I have had. Restaurant on main make a fresh tasty cheesesteak, unfortunately they were on vacation....cheaper too. Poor, dry cheesesteak, no customer service. By the time I got home and ate it even the fries were cold and soggy....

Worse exp ever and managed was so rude about it. Ordered 3 cheese steaks for $19.99 and 2 cheese fries. It was suppose to be cheese and onion on two & Peppers onion and pickles on the other. One came with pickles and onions. One came with peppers and onions. And one came with onions. No cheese cups for cheese fries. I called and the manager didn’t even care. My husband does not like peppers or pickles and the taste alone ruins the sandwich. All the manager offered was a cup of pickles and cup of peppers. He didn’t even care. I legit hung up on him with how rude he got. I’m sure if his food was he would have wanted it fixed. It’s a shame use to be a great steak shop. That just proves they don’t care about...

Service was great, the guys on duty were very pleasant. Called in a pick up order on the way home from work, basic cheesesteaks w sauce /onions /pickles (zero modifications) sub par for a cheesesteak place. Steak had no flavor, still wondering where the cheese is, sauce is bland. The best part was the pickles and those barely existed 4 little pickles on a 10" cheesesteak. Fries were odd, it was like 3 different types some were plain, some were seasoned and some seamed like they were battered somehow.... I mean for $29 for 2 cheesesteaks and 2 fries, I've certainly had worse. But we will be skipping J's for the...
