Love Kim’s food, Range of choices and Excellent customer service— love the rice, vegetable egg foo young and vegetable chop suey especially; Mom loves the cashew chicken, orange chicken and sesame chicken. Their Almond cookies — simple but my pre- bed snack! All the advice of health experts aside, to Not eat before bed— I personally Need a little snack to fall asleep, and the almond cookies are perfect. Kim’s is also Open on some major holidays when — for me at least— After all the family get -togethers of day have cooled down, I can get a small- yet- satiating and tasty meal and get back to ‘real life’ and whatever work commitment or project I need to finish. Restaurant is a Small enclave to be sure but has Reliably served the Glenview and surrounding area for many years. Gourmet? No— but Chinese and Filipino food that is just right for me, an ‘American’ who ( physically! ) probably cannot handle fully-spiced cuisine and sauces. Prices very reasonable;
Highly recommend giving Kim’s a try if you/ ‘one’ looking for great...
Read moreThis place used to be awesome about 10-12 years ago. They used to have the best fried rice and Sesame Chicken. The prices are cheap but buyer beware. It will destroy your stomach inside and out. I ordered the Orange Chicken today, and it tasted good. Less than 30 minutes later, I was then on the toilet. The fried rice that came with it was moist and it had no flavor because it was missing onion and egg. The egg roll was super salty. I called and the man's first response was "What do you need". My advice is to stay away. By the way the place is incredibly filthy and they leave their open sign on even when they are closed. They don't care at all. That's exactly who I don't want cooking my food. New ownership has destroyed this place. I hope they get a nice and thorough inspection. I can't imagine what the...
Read moreWe were so hungry, after visiting ABT Electronics and its wonderful Atrium. From Google Maps, we found this KIM'S CHINESE FOOD, and we ordered Vegetable Fried Rice and Combo Chow Mein (which are crunchy noodles). The dishes were very delicious. The owner is very friendly and it feels like going to your Auntie's place. The menu is extensive, mostly Cantonese cuisine. There is a small section of Filipino-Chinese food. The price is extremely reasonable, especially for a wealthy neighborhood. While waiting, we talked to the people who were picking up their orders, they said to us that the food is very nice. It gives the impression that it is very popular and it has been around for more...
