Petrillo's Deli & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Northvale

An old school authentic Italian deli run by mom, dad, and their son. The food is outstanding, I had an Italian Combo and my wife had a turkey sub, there was no skimping on the ingredients, WOW! As for the pizza 🍕 we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. I give it a 4.5.For a while I wanted to visit this establishment that is a pizzeria, deli, and provides gourmet food, as well as buffet style food. There's plenty of parking on the side of the building. The person who attended was the owners'son, and he was pleasant, courteous, attentive. I loved the fact that Mom, and Dad were working giving it that feeling of being in Italy. They were engaging with customers. I ordered to go 3 Sicilian slices. They were huge, gooey with cheese, delicious. Also ordered a regular cheese pizza slice. It was a bit undersized. They do offer different styles of pizza. Petrillo's Deli has been feeding my family for decades. If you want an amazing deli sandwich, pizza, or pasta dishes, look no further. Quick service, good pricing, huge portions and friendly staff. There is limited seating inside if you want to eat there but it's recommended to take your food to go.
