Food - Daughter got a plain bagel with blueberry cream cheese. You really can’t mess that up. The only thing she said was “you can tell it’s Philadelphia cream cheese”.
Ambiance - This place was decorated with minimalistic style and design. The photos on the wall were coffee themed. Nothing really anything to boast about. Mediocre.
Service - Again mediocre. Felt like a run of the mill big chain coffee shop. No interaction with employees. No real genuine emotions or feelings.
Coffee - We tried several of their drinks to get a taste of what the new coffee shop in Norton had to offer and unfortunately we were disappointed.
Black Coffee - A coffee shop should be able to sell you a single black coffee, no additives, no sugars, no flavors to get you to come back and unfortunately they missed the mark. The coffee itself was sour, which can happen by several reasons: under extraction, ph water was off, stale beans, under roasted. Whichever the case, the fact the coffee was sour meant that every drink we were going to have would also have that sour taste.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Cold Brew - Which was the case for this. Amongst the layers and layers of heavy additives, creams, sugars, syrups and drizzles could not mask the sour taste to their coffee. The moment I took a sip, I couldn’t get passed that sour taste which was unfortunately accentuated even more now from the other additives in the drink. It was unpleasant and I could not stomach it.
Espresso - My husband and I are both coffee connoisseurs and enjoy a shot of espresso whenever we can. The espresso shot we got from Bean & Grind was burnt and gritty. Grittiness comes from too high of pressure or espresso machines not being cleaned properly after every use. Burnt tasting espresso comes from too high temps, over extracted/burnt beans, tamp too tight, grind too fine, among many others. Which this was.
When I heard there was going to be a coffee shop in Norton, I was finally excited because this is what Norton and its people have wanted. However, I’m disappointed once again by Norton and the...

Read more5 stars We walked into Bean Grindin Coffee Co. in Norton literally one minute before closing—and instead of rushing us out, the team welcomed us with genuine smiles and gave us their full attention. I ordered a cortado, and my absolutely wonderful, delightful boyfriend got a caramel macchiato (light on the caramel). Both drinks were made perfectly and served with kindness, even as they were turning off lights and locking up.
But the best part? We were sitting in the parking lot sipping our drinks when the manager came running out, clapping her hands, laughing, and saying, “Oopsie!” She’d realized she forgot to add the second two shots of espresso to the macchiato. She kindly took the drink back, fixed it with a smile, and brought it out fresh and full of good vibes.
It was such a warm, friendly, down-to-earth experience—so Ohio in the best possible way. We’ll definitely be back....
