Me and my family usually go to this Chipotle because it us around the corner from our home. This time, the rice was old, and the one who served me refused me extra brown rice and extra cheese (though he refilled the brown rice after he met our goal, talk about lying!), and there was no brown rice on my brother Ryan's bowl, he had all white. We go there about 2 to 3 times a week. This server was polite, but wouldn't even get extra cheese. We talked to the manager of the Santa Fe Springs location (who is very nice) before for an unrelated mishap with our food which happened there. He told us anything is free on the bowls and burritos except meat, and we always get bowls, 3 of them. Other employees who served me before are fine to get a little extra cheese. All mom always gets is brown rice, chicken and cheese. Were not taking advantage of anything. You guys aren't inexpensive, but we love your food. We probably won't be frequenting your location for a while.
UPDATE (5/19/2025): We have been coming to this Chipotle for the last 6 months. Usually they do a good job on the food, but the last 2 times were horrible. 5/18 and 5/19 were bad days, the rice was very old and very, very hard, my mom had gristle in the chicken in more than 2 bites, and she didn't even eat the rice at all. You DON'T serve rice if it's like this! We have many choices to where we eat. Mom has worked in the restaurant business for 35 years. She has decided that we won't be coming here...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. I waited to post a review until I tried going 3 different times. Each time I had the same issues. Food quality is poor. Many times things are left on the heating rack too long and are completely dried out (like the fajita veggies and chk) the seating area is almost always a mess and the staff appear to be completely untrained and unfriendly.
Visit 1) I got attitude when I ordered a double protien burrito to be half chk and half steak. Somehow they misunderstood this to be quadruple protein. Which makes zero sense, and I was reprimanded by the suprlervisor on "how to order correctly". They threw the entire burrito away to make another one.
Visit 2) the veggies, rice, and meat were so dried out, the burrito was almost completely inedible.
Visit 3) the veggies were once again completely dried out. Inasked for them to get a fresh batch and the worker completely ignored me and used the same dried out/burnt veggies anyways. With 5 people in line begind me, I just let it go. Then both burritos I got were not wrapped correctly, and completely fell apart when opening the foil.
Will never go here again. I recommend everyone else not to come either.
For the price Chipotle charges, it is not worth the poor...
Read moreI've been coming to this spot since they opened back a few years ago, since it's next door to my go-to gym. Always had decent service, but in the past few months, they've been cutting corners on portions servings & I was getting tired of it. Don't know if it's the GM's call, but some of them have given me smaller servings than she has given on a regular basis.
Today, I saw a server take a single spoon serving of steak, proceed to shake a few pieces off & consider that a single serving. Called her out on it, she stood adamant on the portion she served & then I canceled my order & walked out peacefully.
I don't know what's going on, but this place is on a decline & it's the last time I'm coming to this spot. Besides the food serving, the attitude of the majority of the workers here is moody, aside from a few who have a bright smile & personality.
The atmosphere here is pretty dull, & I'd rather spend my money at another chipotle. They at least care that you're satisfied with what you're buying.
Edit: I may speak to the GM if I run into her by chance at the lot, but who knows if it'll make a difference. I like the GM. She's modest & a hard worker, but some of her employees are doing her...
