Famous Pizza House — Restaurant in Norwalk

Stopped here after going to the Maritime Center for a casual dinner with my wife and kids back in July. We kept it simple - a large plain cheese pizza and a side of onion rings. Wow, we were blown away. This is hands down the best pizza that I've ever had and it's not even close. The pizza was so good, that we drove down from our home in Watertown, picking up my mother on the way, just to have the pizza again. Despite my unreasonably high expectations going in for a second time, the pizza did not let down and I was reassured that this is the best pizza that I've ever had. Pepe's who???! I even ordered one to go to have the next day.

My birthday is in a few weeks, and I already know where I want to eat. I also must mention that we had the same waitress both times and she was an absolute delight. I highly recommend this place.

The pizza itself is one of a kind. To me, it was a cross between a Greek and Italian pie, with a thin crust, but one that still gave you a slightly doughy texture, with the perfect amount of grease. It was wasn't dry or overly drenched. The sauce and cheese were absolutely amazing.

Not from around the area, but I came here for the first time and was disappointed. I ordered a house salad which started off pretty good but then I seen a piece of ground beef like burger meat on the bottom of the plate I immediately got turned off there’s no reason for ground beef meat to be in the salad I ordered a plain salad and then the pizza pie had a funny aftertaste like lentil beans or something it was weird I didn’t like it at all 😝 but we ate it cause we were starving, and also the place looks a little dingy like it needs to be cleaned and upgraded. We will never go back...

The man who managed this place did a better job than the owner is doing. I asked for side of meatballs, waitress who kept staring at me and could not crack a smile once brought me a dish of 4 meatballs with cheese. Then I get charged 8.95 for a meatball grinder with no bread. When I questioned it, the owner said it was a full meal because of the cheese. He couldn't consider reducing the cost and rudely walked away. I can find better service and pizza restaurants elsewhere.
