Super crowded. Hard to park. I had to park in the back, in the dark, and walk quite a ways to the entrance, very dangerous for a 70 yr old. When I get there, I see a sign that says cash only. So now I'm still outside checking my purse for cash that I never carry, especially at night. I find a $20, so I go in and get in a huge line, wishing I had a mask on. The place is full of people, you're elbow to elbow with them. It was very not safe for me at my age. I finally place my order and stand back to wait to be called. The cashier takes the oder and is nice but not really friendly, which is a good thing. Otherwise, she would be talking to every customer, making the wait even longer. I place my order and stand back waiting to be called. It's a long wait. I watched them prepare the orders and now I wish I hadn't come there at all. There are various types of meat in plain view, and they serve meats that I would never eat, such as lengua, chivo, buche, etc. The guy preparing the food cuts the meat on the same spot every time, and after each time, he wipes the areas for the next order with the same contaminated dirty rag. And, with his bare hands, he handles the food. I got home thinking I was about to have a tasty burritos since this place was highly recommended to me, but unfortunately, it was not. I bought a carne burrito. I had lots of meat but the meat, beans & rice were tasteless. The only good thing was the tortilla. Soon after I ate it, my stomach started to gurgle, which, for me, means there was bacteria in the food I just ate. I didn't get sick, but I will never go back there. I can't...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer for about 12 years, and Tacos Los Guero has always been my go-to place for a quick bite. Every time I visit, I leave smelling like the place, but I don't mind because their food always smells appetizing.
I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and there was plenty of parking in the back and front. Tacos Los Guero offers both outside and inside seating. You immediately smell their delicious food when you open the door. This place is cash-only, but there's an ATM on-site for your convenience. I ordered two tacos de asada, one shrimp taco, and a cocktail with cebollitas and jalapeños on the side. There were about four people ahead of me, and my order took about 15 minutes to be made, which was the perfect time to get some extra salsas from their delicious condiment bar.
As you can see from the pictures, they are very generous with their portions. The meat in my tacos de asada was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the addition of cebollitas was perfect. The shrimp tacos had about three huge and crispy pieces of shrimp. Lastly, the shrimp cocktail was served in a styrofoam cup, but don't let the size fool you; the portion was significant and had plenty of shrimp.
In conclusion, this place is a must-try place if you are in the area and want to try some delicious Mexican food. They have a variety of food on their menu with decent prizes. I highly recommend...
Read moreSo we were on our way back from Disneyland and looking for something good to eat. We all felt like some authentic Mexican food, so I looked on my Google maps and typed in food. This place came up and seemed like it would be good cause it is right off the freeway and wouldn't require us to go too far off our path home.
So we pulled up and it was sort of a hole in the wall kind of place, bur for a hole in the wall this place was packed. Literally 8:30 at night and at least 30 to 40 people in the place.
So when I go to Mexican places like this I like to try a taco of each meat, can I just say the Shrimp Taco was the Best!! Freakin AMAZING. I am almost willing to drive from the Antelope Valley to Norwalk just to get a few more.. Aside from that the Carnitas was my second favorite. All the meats were BOMB tho! not one that tasted funny. They all had really good flavor.
Oh and the Salsa!! Holy crap HOT!! But GOOD!! mmmmmm
Thank you for such great food!! Can you make a Taco's El Guero in...
