Daylight Donuts & Cafe Hilliard — Restaurant in Norwich Township

Had to edit my review, because what I wrote several years ago no longer applies.

I've been coming here weekly for years. There have been some changes recently, and not for the better. Last week, my turkish coffee was never heated, I was handed a room-temperature drink. Unfortunately, I didnt notice until I had left.

This week, I sat and waited for my order while 3 different doordash drivers came in, each of them blaring their own music from their phone apparently trying to compete with each other over who could be the most obnoxious, got their orders filled, and left. I watched each of them walk in, check in, have their orders made, and leave, all while I was still waiting for mine. I used to love this place, now I can no longer recommend it.

Extremely disappointed in my visit today. Stopped in about 1:35 to buy donuts. When I was there last week, I was told when you come in from 1-2 on Friday, you get a dozen free donuts with a purchase of a dozen donuts. It was called the Sleeping in Special. I thought as a business owner my self, that’s a great incentive to clear out the inventory and still make a profit because I imagine they have to discard for freshness sake. When I was there today I mentioned the special to the gal upfront and she went to the back to ask the same gentleman that was there last week when I purchased. He came out and informed me that they cannot be expected to give their product away at 50% rather condescending and rude. My apologies but I was just here for the special that I was given last week. I liken it to free kids meal night at a restaurant. They aren’t going to treat you poorly and not honor the special because you used it last week. If they’ve changed their policy that’s fine just simply state so but to act like this was just uncalled for and unprofessional. My family did enjoy the donuts. It’s just a shame that they handle...

I found this place a couple years ago and have been OBSESSED with the chocolate dinosaur doughnuts. I am 40 years old with NO kids, IDK why I love those doughnuts so much, lol. After a few years of seeing the menu board and knowing they offer sooooo much more than amazingly delicious chocolate dinosaur doughnuts (yes, their other doughnuts are really good too!), I finally tried a breakfast burrito yesterday. Oh myyyyy. Yes, it takes a little longer to get your food, that's because they use real food, made fresh when you order it. It isn't just sitting back there in a warming container folks. Call-in your order if you are in a hurry; that is what I did this morning. The owner's son is usually there when I come in and he is one of the nicest fellows I have ever met. Best customer service, super friendly and great food. I will be frequenting this shop more often now that I have tried the breakfast burrito. YUM!!!!
