It was great! I know it's a chain but it was really good food. Clean and friendly and got seated right away. Service was perfectly timed. Attentive but not invasive. Seems to be harder to find that these days so a big plus to the wait staff. My thanks to them! Food: I had a bowl of clam chowder, an order of fried pickles and fish and chips. The clam chowder was noted on the menu as a house recipe. It was very good with a lot of clams. Big pieces not the ones so minced up you didnt know if you got a bite. A bit thicker than I prefer but really good. Fried pickles were perfect. Perfect. Big pickle spears with perfectly crunchy breading. Best I have had in 30 years. The fish and chips were also stellar. At least the fish was. Perfectly cooked perfectly battered and perfectly seasoned. It is not my #1 favorite fish and chips (that is at Payne's in Gas City IN) but for sure in my top 5. And the whitefish is not cod. Kind of a plus in my book if someone can make stellar fish and chips using something other than cod. The chips were steak fries and pretty average but that fish ..... Give them a try. I will go back. Lol probably tomorrow ...

My husband and I are here last weekend on a whim. We're new to the area and have heard great things about this restaurant. Our experience definitely exceeded our expectations! We both ordered sandwiches and the potato skins appetizer which was absolutely delicious. Before we headed out I ordered a milkshake to go. This was unexpectedly my favorite part. Literally the best milkshake I've ever had. I have been thinking of stopping by just for the milkshake, it was that good! Outside of the delicious meal, the atmosphere was great too. It was clean and cozy. Perfect for a date or a night out with friends/family. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Great little pub, tucked away in an historic building on the main drag. When traveling, I always look to eat at the bar at a pub. Staff is always friendly. They give you great recommendations and are usually open for a short conversation. I took the recommendation and got the Fish and Chips. Yep, they were great. Had a few local and regional beers. They also have a nice bourbon/whiskey selection as well. Love the vibe with the dark wood, and appropriate decor. Looking for a quieter place for a bite and beer, this is a good choice.

Stopped by yesterday for a couple of drinks and it was made immediately clear that we were not welcome. We sat at the bar and were there for at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged, though several people were offered more drinks and orders were taken from people who sat after us. Once I ordered a bottle of Budweiser, I still waited while several other people were asked/served before I was given my drink. I finished that drink in about a half hour and was never acknowledged again until at least an hour later when we were ready to leave (because we were never offered water, food, or another beer). Though our service was absolutely garbage, it seemed the bartender- Miranda, I believe- gave excellent service to everyone else. She laughed, joked, shared drinks with them, and even commiserated and bad-mouthed managment with a few of the patrons.... All while we sat with an empty drink with no offering of more. I understand these folks were likely regulars, but because of the service we received, not only will we NOT be, we won't ever go...

Stopped by this afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. Teresa greeted us at the door and was also our server. All we can say is she is magnificent!! Answered our questions tended to our needs and helped make our experience great! We started with the potato pancakes, which Teresa explained are back on the menu, and thank goodness for that, they were awesome! My husband had the Reuben sandwich and I had the chicken, tender basket. Was not expecting much, but both meals were fantastic! My chicken tenders were huge, crunchy, juicy and delicious. The Reuben was literally chunks of corned beef, piled high with extra 1000 island dressing! The thin fries were perfectly cooked, crunchy, and delicious!! there was so much food. Neither one of us could finish. Can’t wait to have leftovers!! How have we not hit this location before? Can’t wait to go back, hopefully we’ll have the pleasure of seeing...
