Read moreI'm so happy that a Jeni's finally opened up in Cincinnati! My friends and I used to drive up to Columbus just to get their ice cream. It was just as good as ever. The unique flavors they offer make it worthwhile. They also have The Best waffle cones around! They're so crisp and buttery. The staff is very polite and friendly as well. My only issues were the design of their "bowls." They aren't shaped well for holding ice cream. They're more like saucers. When the ice cream melts, it could very easily spill off the sides with the slightest bump. They need better bowl shapes. My other issue is how easily distracted the staff seemed to get. The young person helping me seemed to completely forget my order as soon as they started scooping. Not even thinking about the second flavor they were supposed to be adding (which I asked to have the most of and unfortunately didn't get). They did manage to take off part of the first flavor to leave room for a small amount of the other flavor I asked for (the one I wanted to be the majority flavor). I wasn't all that pleased with thst part. But I understand that people make mistakes and the person was very apologetic about it. I appreciated that. The store was neat and clean (albeit a bit tight on space) and smelled wonderful as soon as you walked through the door. I highly recommend trying them out as soon as you...

I've been a Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream fan for years when I first experienced their summertime flavor Strawberry Buttermilk at their Dublin Irish Festival stand.
From there, every time I visited an event or friends in Columbus (where they originate from) I would stop by their locations and end up with a new flavor. They even had a curry-like ice cream that tasted AMAZING.
I feel so corny saying this but I also had bought their hilarious shirt "the dairy heir" with a peach wearing a crown.
I was surprised to find their ice cream in stores and fell in love with their Honey Pistachio. Mind you, local Ohio sourced honey.
So really.... support this local business that I've been hoping for years since moving to Cincinnati would branch out to here and now that they have it feels like there's a source of reliable flavors.
I bought a fresh made waffle cone with two scoops of Wildberry Lavendar Ice Cream and Lemon Bar...
